| dealagreeproceed | 09-22-2015 03:56 PM | Re: And eBay claims it is concerned about stopping counterfeits op if you got a discount on it from the retail price AND its working. then move on... just my 2 cents lad ... |

If they want to, and Microsoft pays for the investigation, they will be able to narrow down his location from his dongle's GPS signal and triangulation of cell phone towers.
There is NO real anonymity today folks, don't believe otherwise! op if you got a discount on it from the retail price AND its working. then move on... just my 2 cents lad ...
I got my money back from this thief. He is claiming to sell genuine software...people who expect to receive that should be receiving that, and not scam copies using stolen keys made in a Chinese sweatshop. |

Chinese sweat shops too expensive for microsoft lol |
| LoopHole | 09-22-2015 04:23 PM | Re: And eBay claims it is concerned about stopping counterfeits Microsoft doesn't need to pay for any investigation. The guy has windows 10 installed and they already know everything what is going on tracking his every step lol
Be careful which updates you guys install.
I used to say F the nsa... now i say F microsoft. |

| ovidiu | 09-22-2015 05:08 PM | Re: And eBay claims it is concerned about stopping counterfeits There is NO such thing as a "phake" version of Windows that can't be tracked. ALL counterfeit versions of Microsoft software rely on so-called volume-licensed versions (that are deployed in large corporate environments where it would be too much of a hassle to do activation). These keys are stolen from the company that paid for them (by a crooked employee, typically) and are sold to counterfeiters who produce the almost-real looking phakes with them.
So first we have stolen property, and then we have the fact that counterfeits are made and passed off as the real deal. Why do people think this is OK???
Anyone who is saying these sort of practices ought to simply ignored are part of the problem. These counterfeit sellers are escalating their practices on eBay and Amazon, and eventually at this rate, NO vero items will ever be sellable by small sellers anymore. THAT will be the consequences for this behavior. |
| glacier922 | 09-22-2015 05:12 PM | Re: And eBay claims it is concerned about stopping counterfeits Well, at this point it doesn't matter because windows 10 is given for free anyways. That crooked employee would be wasting his time, ms is going to be making money off of the recordings of your computer activity like surfing adult web sites. Might as well get tails or another form of Linux and stealth from there. |
| BlackLion | 09-22-2015 06:03 PM | Re: And eBay claims it is concerned about stopping counterfeits Thank goodness I didn't follow/believe the hype about Windows 10. I've read that updates are mandatory, so I 2nd that we should go Linux. "Zorin OS" looks like Windows. Check it out. |
| ovidiu | 09-22-2015 10:34 PM | Re: And eBay claims it is concerned about stopping counterfeits It is now possible to turn off all the tracking stuff and even the mandatory updates in Windows 10. Ironically, Microsoft quietly reacted by adding more tracking abilities via some recent Windows 7 patches. |
Re: And eBay claims it is concerned about stopping counterfeits Lets all go back to Windows 3.11, No tracking! |
| ovidiu | 09-22-2015 11:43 PM | Re: And eBay claims it is concerned about stopping counterfeits Then we'll get Mc999's from eBay requiring us to upgrade to Windows ME and submit documents! |
