Tips & Tricks on making money with Ebay
 

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone would like to share tips and tricks on selling with ebay. I know there are a lot of 'Ebaypreneurs' here and some of you make a hellalot of money from it ;).

Not divulging too many secrets but any tips and tricks of using/manipulating the ebay system for financial gain would be welcomed. Other tips such as good items and products to sell as well as the good the bad and the ugly would be welcomed also.

if u beat the competition they will just keep on beating you until their is no profit so be careful on what u do...

It hard to sell new, mass produced stuff. The Chinese will always be able to beat you on price, and price is what matters most to buyers. Your best bet is to find something unique or custom made that your competition can not easily duplicate. Also, you could specialize in a complex item, for example I know if a seller that makes good money selling used surplus imaging equipment he gets from the army and corporate surplus, because knows what parts are needed and how to make the equipment work properly. Other seller just sell as-is and have no idea.

I have 2 accounts that sell 2 completely different products. One of my product line is handmade - created by me. I have built up quite a repeat customer base on Ebay. And I have many wholesale accounts that found me through Ebay. It is not tons of money. But, it puts food on the table and a roof over our head.

My other account that I just started is strictly vero. I know they won't last long. My longest account was 11 months. Even though there are 100's of sellers selling the same thing, I will pull in about $5,000 a month.

Create an about me page for your seller accounts. More icons next to your sellers user-id on your auction pages makes a buyer feel more confident with their purchase.

search for anything on ebay and look for the bids only and see what people are bidding on and see if it will be profitable for you to sell those same things - i did that before and it worked for me but now i just sell vero because i found many suppliers and pull 2-3 grand a week from just 2 types of items
