Often they only ask your name, but if they ask you all the verification quetsions, it will be:

Your name.
Date of birth.
Address on the account.
Phone number on the account.

interesting, i called them and they asked about my business and my supplier. this is on a 10yr account i've started dropshipping on recently. i told the guy i didn't have the info in front of me and would call back later

do they actually check this stuff or is it just a formality?

That isn't a "verification" question. You explicitly asked what questions they ask to verify that you own account.

Do they check it? No. They DO input the info into their system though, so the next time a rep looks into your account, they can see what the last rep put in if they ask the same questions. It's not a hard question to answer. It's kind of like when a police officer asks you how fast you were going....there's only one wrong answer: admitting you were speeding (they ask you this to get you to admit guilt in case you try to go to traffic court, not to see if you were paying attention, FYI). Anyways, the only "wrong" answers to their question is if you say you're selling stolen or illegitimate merchandise, or saying you're drop-shipping. ANY other answer is pretty much acceptable. Don't admit to buying branded merchandise from DhGate, for example.

yeah my bad that was poor wording

anyways ill call back and give them something believable. sounds like they don't actively verify this info especially for clean accounts

The only time they "verify" your sources is when they ask for invoices. Even then, several members have reported success with "creative" invoices, so it seems even then the verification is hit-or-miss.

NEVER say "I don't have that info in front of me". It sounds really suspicious. What kind of business doesn't know where their product comes from?

If you have to, write down the answer to every question listed above (name, DOB, sources, etc) BEFORE you call, so you don't "forget".
