Default Ebay Case Problem

Buyer purchased product and ebay says the order went through, buyer hasnt paid in six days. I sent a message three days ago, trying to be nice, and asked if he wanted me to cancel his order. No response. So I opened a case today, and bam like 8 messages back to back from him saying he didnt order and wants to cancel ...

In resolution center my only choice under take action is receive fee and then im asked if the buyer paid or not. I guess if I say they did ill get charged a fee. I'd like to be nice to the buyer and close the case and then send a cancellation request. Is this not possible?

Cant be nice about stuff like that.

You are here to make money. He doesn't care about you getting your fees or not so why do you care after waiting a week for money and time you've lost?

Keep it polite and cancel/block the buyer.

Ignore the messages and have all unpaid items handled automatic by ebay. Have them open the case in 48 hours and close it 72 hours later.

Obviously it is impossible to accidentally buy an item and as far as unpaid item strikes, they dont mean anything to ebay or the buyer anymore. It is an empty threat.

You can close unpaid item case request, refund buyer manually and give ebay a call and ask for fee credit so that they can see that you don't hold payment from buyer and they will issue you fee refund.

If you close the unpaid item you wont be able to reopen it again.

If you close the case the buyer can still rate you.

If you leave it and close it stating no payment is received the buyer will not be able to rate you and he will get a strike.

If the buyer was genuine and sorry then why didnt he respond to you the first time around? Why only reapond after you open an unpaid item??

You need to worry more about your account and less about pleasing time wasters.
