Activity: 1% Longevity: 91% | | 5/$500 vs 10/$1000
Ok my friends, I need some help here. I can't get these 10/1000 accounts to budge. I max out every month. I have 4 accounts that have been stuck at 10/$1000 for months. These accounts have no holds and are in good standing, but $1000 is nothing will you have some high dollar items that need to move. I max out these accounts on like the 3rd or 4th of each month, then I'm sitting idle for the rest of the month.
My 5/$500 accounts have increased like 2-3 times with barely any sales at all, but they have holds and I have a lot of funds pending release.
So I don't get it. Is there a proven strategy to get these 10/1000 accounts to increase? Please PM me with any advice you have. This is really bothering me. A new year is coming and I just know my limits will still be stuck at 10.
Happy New Year!!

How long exactly have you been selling on these accounts?

That sounds horrible, I'll be praying for ya, in the meantime just keep making those accounts, it's just how the business rolls

its no big deal, I've already created more accounts. But I'm wondering if anyone has gotten 10/1000 accounts to get auto increases, if so, what's the secret?

Auto-increases? Doesn't look like there's any fool-proof way.
You've been selling on eBay long enough that calling them with confidence shouldn't be a problem though. Good luck!

I have never had any accounts like this. When I hear this I am always baffled. Just ask for an increase if you are not getting them naturally.

Give them a call on one account. Might as well risk one and see what happens.

what is the risk?
I mean, you need to know your name and email address and is best to call from original phone number but what is the risk? Waste a few minutes and not get an increase?

Id call in on the 10/1000s too. GoA has some really good post about calling in. For quite some time now, the 5/500s have been seeming to get better increases than the 10/1000s. At least, thats what most of my buyers have reported. If it was me, I would take a 5/500 over a 10/1000 any day.

It seems that the lower the initial limits, the faster they raise them. I guess they figure a scammer/dishonest member probably wouldn't even bother with a 5 limit account, so they trust them more. Just a theory.

Play the cards correctly, they reward the account with increases. Bless 'em!

One of the 5/500 accounts has only been selling for about a month and it just received a 180/$9000 increase yesterday.
Its just that when I create accounts, they are always 10/1000. Yes, I could buy 5/500 accounts with no issues, but it would nice to save my money and make my own.

Hey guys - when you say max out your limits, are you saying do it in the first week (list 5 items or $500) or just throughout the month?

5 items and $500 caries no risk as far as eBay is concerned.

It is best to sell or at least list to your limit as soon as possible. Not saying this for 500 or 1000 accounts but for all the small limits.
