rep closed case without approval - venting
I just had this prick open close a case in the buyers favor because I hurt his feelings.
So I sold a item to a buyer, he leaves positive feedback so I figured all was gravy. 1 week later he opens a return and I of course had the wrong address on file (which is 100% my fault) and the buyer shipped it to the wrong address.
Well it got sent back to him and that was on the 7th. I called in to see what they want me to do because I didn't want to refund him, he keep the jeans OR have the case close and I get a defect.
Well........
I got very mad when the person I spoke with told me my only options were to refund him, or try to communicate with the buyer. He said I get treated the same way as someone with below standard even though im TRS & Powerseller. That pissed me off so I said somethings and he was like "im just trying to be nice, if I wanted to I can close this case now blah blah blah"...
I told him he couldn't because I didn't ask him to and hung up. What happens next? "buyer calls to escalate case hold on" ....
So I call back and explain everything and the rep actually granted me the defect removed, and my money back.
I swear ebay reps get me so mad....
I almost can't call them anymore. I can't handle their stupidity. They act like they know what they are doing but because I'm stealth I KNOW their policy more than most reps do. And we all know accounts do get treated differently....
Venting/rant. Didn't re-read this so it might make absolutely 0 sense. haha
