Default Send 2 item in 1 package, customer claim only got one

I have a customer bought 2 same item with different color from me. She check out as 2 separate transaction. With same shipping address, I sent 2 item in same package and upload same tracking number.

Now she open request in eBay asking for the status of one of the item. I would like to get advice regarding how to reply her.

Item is insured with signature confirmation.

Thank you for your help.

I would just tell them both items were in the same package. If the buyer claims the package only contained one item, then you might have a problem. But it could be a mistake. I had one buyer who bought tons of stuff on eBay open claims on 2 items not received., When I told him the three items were shipped together in one box, he checked and apologized to me and closed the claims.

I think there is a good chance that your buyer knows the ropes and realizes they will likely win a claim since there is only one tracking number.

I assume that since they were insured the items were of some value. I always offer free shipping so I can ship as I choose without the buyer fretting it is costing them more and ship each item individually for just this reason as my items are of a substantial value and I have read posts on the Ebay selling board of sellers losing cases like this.

Does their feedback received have any indication they have scammed sellers before?

Hopefully it is an honest mistake on their part and this works out for you.

I will take note about this and for any order with multi valuable items, I will ship in separate shipments to keep things less hassles with me in the future.

you could always send them an email ahead of time letting them know you put it all in the same package. that way you are covering your ass.

Must have been a dopey buyer to pay insurance for just ONE item.

Have you contacted them?

I have sent her message told her 2 item in same package. When I check USPS tracking it shows nobody can sign for it so USPS left notice. I wonder why she only claim she did not get one of them if she did not even pick up the item.

I will see what she says.

I told her that the package weight is for 2 instead of 1 item.

Huh?

Claiming against you without record of signed delivery being done?

Hmmmm...
