Default Registering on ebay as a business

I have a question..if I try and create a stealth account and register on ebay as a business instead of personal, they would still ask for info which would link me to the account I had banned correct?

I know with paypal an EIN is a good way to override the SSN, I wanted to know if this applies for ebay also.

Thanks

new address, email, phone number and IP.

Nothing more to it than that. Just use your name.

FYI typically people will take several hours to read and reply to a thread like this. 30 minutes is very unrealistic expectations.

Wish ya luck!

They don't link by names, as long as everything else is reasonably different.

Your saying if I use the same first and last name that was on my shut down account they wont link it?

Correct, AFAIK the bots will not cross reference your name since the false-positives would be off the charts... the only risk I can think of is if you were to be manually reviewed, and they saw you had the same inventory and listing style as someone with the same name who did harm in eB, that'll probably create a link.

Are you even bothering to read the forum?

Seems not.

Starting again in stealth means making an effort to not use old info.

Your banned name, your high risk items ln a stealth account may well flag the account and that is not needed.

It is unlikely as long as your name isn't exceptionally rare and as long as you use a different street and town for your address. If you are in a big city it wouldn't be an issue though, just don't use same street or postal code.

I think we're taking into account this guy is scared of 'stealth' information and wants to be as 'legit' as possible. I think it's preferable to have every line of info to be completely unique but at the same time I don't think having the same name as a banned eb'er is very risky, they really need more to determine a link or innocent people with same name would get caught in the cross fire, and I haven't read a story like that yet or a story about someone getting linked by name alone.

I have an account in my name (that was suspended by ebay) which is healthy and has 25k/2mil monthly limit currently... although I made it 2 years after the fact, my ENTIRE name is very very unique.

They don't cross-reference names, it would have to be manually done through review and even then, I think there would have to be beyond reasonable doubt that this is the same person for them to link.

I see no problem if you have common name like John Smith, Dave Brown etc as there are thousands in the UK with the same name. This wouldn't link you. It is only if you base the stealths too close to each other geographically it may cause issues.

This is good for people with common names because they don't have to be limited to banks that accept mismatched names. I wish I could get away with doing it this way but alas my name is not common.....grrrr

My name is extremely uncommon. Only five on facebook including myself. The other four are woman.

This topic has been talked about extensively. Names do not matter in any withc way or form in my extensive experience.

I am a dude calling in with a female name on more than a dozen accounts. Never once had an issue with names and multiple accounts with a unique name.

Shame , shame, shame.

Handing out info that has a good chance of causing issues.

I repeat, it is suggested to avoid using old banned info.

What issues does using your real name cause?
Do you happen to know of any threads saying they have been linked by name alone?

The great thing about using your real name is that you can answer all database questions to make extra stable accounts. I purposely get 0-0 limits so that I can call in get high selling limits and sell volumes right from day one.
