Verizon stuck at 1x

Anyone having this problem here in Bay Area? when I restart the phone, it just gives me 3G for just about 30 seconds, 4 bars, then 3 bars, then 1 bar, then boom, 1X. I've been getting perfect reception here for like forever here. Restarted it, air plane mode it, back and forth, battery taken out and power cycled, yet nothing works.

Sounds like you are being throttled or out of 3G that's what usually happens when you used up your data plan!

That could be it miketyson, I did drive to some other areas, 3G was a bit shoddy, but was much more stable. I will test it out again, this is such a pain! Changing MAC addresses and such, bummer.

Had this happen with at&t a while back but after the month restarted it went back to normal and wasn't throttled anymore
