Default Why would any seller not accept paypal as a payment method?

just curious because I saw a seller that stated that he would only accept credit card payments through his secure processor and due to security reasons no longer accepts paypal.

Why could this be?

Its down to individual sellers to choose what payment method they do or do not accept.

A lot of people do not like PayPal since its abused by scammers so much

Many reasons, mine would be to not give money to a company who can keep my funds for 180 days and who refund any scammer who wants some free stuff

Isn't it just as easy for a scammer to get away with their own credit card company via chargeback?

Yup, so long as the seller neglects to use tracking and shipping confirmation.

yes , it is easy if they do it once or twice, but most of them are professional, so they do it with several pp accounts without any issue compared to go to your bank everyday to make a chargeback. Also, if they face the law for fraud, bank history will be reviewed by justice, and I think this kind of people wants to avoid that. Also it's easier to make stealth pp than stealth bank account

Simple its WAY easier to scam a seller with PayPal's messed up system then to use a credit card to scam a seller. Paypal welcomes scammers with open arms and stands by the sides of the scammers all way till the end.

Sellers are trying to get away from paying their pay pal fees this is not good because lets say if a buyer buys something and all the sudden something happens yes they are covered with Ebay Protection but there is no Paypal
so there is no additional protection for the buyer.. And a seller can get away with future scams from a buyer on Ebay...Yes everything seems going OK at first but what about the future buyers..Get Smart'' Buyers''.. Sellers can do these scams to get away with it.. Sell under a different Name open a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ Bank account and scam every buyer that Purchases from them.. No I can never relate to these sellers that don't accept Paypal it is a big risk and concern as well.

Stay Away from those Sellers that don't accept Paypal and report them.
It is A Major risk to buy from them and very concerning as well.

^^Dumb post.

Report me all day if you like. The people you're reporting me to are the ones who configured my merchant account for me.
