Upgrading directly from windows 7 to windows 8 - Dirty install

Will this work without raising a flag. Basically windows 7 to windows 8 using the keep all the same data option.

I know windows 8 is coded differently. I have a very annoying glitch that I can't find the cause.My computer will freeze when left alone for 5 to 6 hours and needs a restart also my ram bleeds. No viruses just some Microsoft nonsense. I think windows 8 would help the problem

As for fixing your freezing issues, I am not certain if just upgrading the OS would fix but perhaps other tech-savvy folks will chime in with a solution.

I had the same freezing and ram issues, I upgraded from windows 7 to windows 8 and that didn't solve my issue, then I upgraded to windows 10 and it is still the same!! The only thing that fixed the issue is linux!!
