If you have no communication, 5 stars automatically. If you have communication, buyers can leave stars. Asking them to reread descriptions and cancel orders seems like a wide open door to 1 star ratings. :boink:

Yankee is spot on here!

If you really need to communicate, some order management tools send out an auto email upon order (which you can modify with your own message). That is sent via email, so ebay has no trace of it.

Your risking DSRs here. I wouldnt.

OP are you refunding people directly from PayPal, or how to not result in a cancelled item strike? Or 'Buyer changed mind'?

This exact thread by retail must have occurred three times in the past couple months. Maybe more.

retailer is going to do whatever retailer is going to do. He should be calling ebay to find solutions this his problems and basic selling methods. This forum does not teach people how to sell, just how to stealth...

Agreed. One off- thats fine. I myself turn to the community for opinions, advice and tips.

But this recurring occurrence of constant need doesn't bode well.

if order is cancelled its always marked as "buyer changed mind"

Would you not risk getting low communication ratings also if a potential buyer asks you questions and you don't respond..then they purchase the item and rate you low for communication?

I sent messages to buyers through the print labels a few years ago, i wound up with people being concerned about their order more than if i hadn't, so i stopped. I felt like I was unnecessarily opening a can of worms. Haven't used them since with no regrets. But that was just my experience with them. :coffee:

That is not how it works.

If a buyer asks a question AFTER purchase, then they can leave a rating. ALL communication BEFORE a purchase does not count.

So if the buyer pays, you ship, no ebay messages, then five stars. If you or the buyer send a ebay message, then you can get zapped.

We have gone over this so many times now. I feel you really need to use the help function on ebay and call them to understand this very simple basics to ebaying.

They also feel obligated to reply back. I don't want to talk to anyone, no matter how friendly they try to be. I just want what I ordered with no personal communication or delays what-so-ever...

Especially in your case, it seems you wait to ship until they reply. Seems like a really bad idea, I'd feel inconvienenced and annoyed

I give them a day to reply..then I ship priority
