Default Suspicious Ebay Message

I recently received this message on one of my stealth accounts.
Quote:
Hello Seller, am interested in purchasing your eBay item for my son who is doing his birthday in a few weeks from now as a gift from his Dad and due to the quick need of the item, am ready to add $100 to your asking price and pay $150 for shipping. I will appreciate it if you can sell this item to me by sending me your PayPal e-mail and item Number to me via (814) 651-#### and i will deposit the fund into your account immediately. Please don't mail me through eBay, text only because am off to work. Hope to read from you soon.

Regard!!!
I know obviously it's a scam, but I was wondering how I should go about it as I am unable to report the message.

Ignore it.

They will send you a phake email from paypal saying ... send it to buyer, payment on hold until you send....

I encounter these a lot. You just have to move on.

I never get these on ebay. Ignore and when you are in ebay, report the message.

Welcome to the forums,

Delete it and move on - if you have the bidder ID, block it from bidding on your stuff.

Nice old generic message - expect problems from this kind of buyer - not worth the hassle of replying/reporting (if it did not come through eBay)

Or you will receive a notification of payment that will have the same interface as of paypal's message however it will not be reflected on your accounts balance.

Maybe I am not following and it just is a phishing email you guys are talking about and not an ebay message at all?

It would be a ton of work to send these through ebay messages for said scammers.

Yeah, it'll be just a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ PayPal email about holding money until receiving the item or something like this. Just ignore!
