What data does eBay mobile app collect?

I went out and bought an entirely new iPhone on one of my friends plan to satisfy the IP requirement, the no linking by camera requirement, etc. and have kept them completely separate.

Is it ok to use the same wifi here at home? (Same network / isp? ). I know same wifi, and even same computer, is safe for normal use as long as they have separate IP. However I was wondering if eBay mobile app collects more data... Such as the name of the wifi network. If so I can keep it connected to the cellular data network instead.... But it may be difficult to always remember to switch back over to 4g.

If the phone is brand new then it should be fine to use it for 1 account.

The only way it would be ok is if you change the IP address and log the IP changes.

IF you plan to run multiple stealth's using your home wifi...your going to need to switch IP's every time you log into each separate Stealth Account. If you log into multiple accounts using the same IP it might trigger a red flag on Ebay's side.

Like I said earlier, if you plan to use the phone with 1 account only, you can use the phone's internet....if you plan to use your home wifi then you need to change your IP.

Question: How many accounts do you plan to run?

I think I may be missing a step or explaining poorly, why is it ok to have different user accounts on same computer/wifi... But not two completely separate devices on same wifi? I will never use the new phone for old account, or old laptop for new account.

I have my old limited account I logged into a handful of times on my home laptop and wifi

And I have my new cellphone for my new secondary account, that I would use on same wifi, but it would have a unique ip as it is a unique device.

I only plan to have the two accounts, with separate devices for each. (Although I do not plan on even using my old acct anymore.)

Different user accounts help isolate browsing data, i.e. cookies.

Two different devices on same wifi means two different devices with same IP.

Stealth Rule No.1 - Make sure IPs don't overlap between eBay accounts. You've already broken the rule if you try do that.

When your on a computer, your changing the IP before moving on to the next account. But with an app, its constantly connected to the internet, sending you push notification and grabbing your IP.

Oh the ip is at the modem/router.. I thought each device had a unique device ip. It looks like I will need to keep my secondary account iPhone on 4G.

Little confused because I just checked the devices, and both are showing completely unique ip, but same router ip. I assume it's the router ip that needs to be kept separate then?

yes if you use the iPhone with your home wifi/ internet you will get linked with the other eBay account you have been using on your home wifi. both devices will have the same ip when you connect to eBay. hope that clears it up a little.

So what about the library computers? Don't those all share the same ip too? I was told those should be ok for my purpose if I didn't use the exact same computer.

Time to start building a stealth there were at least 5 ip instances

the library ip is only good if there has not been a user login from it with a banned eBay account. its kind of like playing russian roulette lol

Pubblic IPs/WiFi shall be avoided if you want to grow a healthy stealth accounts. :nono:

Whoever gave you that crappy advice was wrong, seriously....way too much bad advice is being given out lately by a select few members. Don't use Library Computers, or any public Computer.

Well there was someone with a limited account on the library computers... My other account. I just wasn't aware a computer lab of 30 computers could share a same ip. Looks like i need to go printer shopping today.
