Default Postage question

When printing a shipping label through eBay if package/thick envelop is selected for first class it allows up to 16oz.
I thought first class was up to 13oz and anything automatically becomes priority?

If you're paying post office rates, they will push Priority mail all day every day because they make a lot more money with Priority.

Another tip, if it will fit in a padded bubble mailer, then your set. USPS has flat rate bublle mailer, only 6.10 anywhere in the us. I have literally fit 10 lb items in them with zero issue.

Haha, I have a little tip for you as well. You can put the padded flat rate envelope inside a regular flat rate envelope and ship for $5.69 rather than $6.10.

Regardless, this point is entirely irrelevant for retailer's original question. You aren't allowed to ship First Class packages in Priority envelopes. The shipment would never be accepted by USPS.

True... Also a small flat rate box fits inside of a normal flat rate envelope. Can even add some extra padding around it.

Also the Priority "Video/VHS" box, which is a lot bigger than a small FRB.

Dear god, I ship with bubble wrappers and commonly ship 2 pound items. I never knew you could get the postage down that low with the flat rate envelopes. I knew about the boxes, but never thought about the padded ones. This would shave a hell of an expense for some items. 2 pounds from the east coast to northern west coast can sometimes run 9 and above. Thanks for the tips you two.

Your welcome. Weirdest thing I should from east to west coast was a carb from a flathead v8. Sold for 150 for parts. Wrapped in two of the bubble mailers. Looked like a giant basbetball. Was 15 usd, now 6 bucks.
