How long before my next limit increase from 100/$5000?

I have been selling for a year with a selling limit of 100/5000.
I already have the money to accelerate my business and have the power to buy more than $10k worth of merchandise. The only thing that limits me is the selling limit. I have 100% positive feedback with 102 postiive feedback received. How long should I have to wait for my next natural limit increase, not by calling Ebay.

I recommend that you should have backup accounts of atleast x10. It's not too late to start building.

If you have kept one account safe and sound for longer period of time, then its clear that you know how to run a stealth account.

Instead of focusing on ONE account, focus on many 100/5000 accounts. Spread the risk, build stability and enjoy the growth!

Thank you for the advice

I just don't have the patience switching between accounts, especially that you need to login in multiple times in your windows login page, ebay page, paypal page, in addition to switching your IP address everytime you login to a different account.

All I need is a number on the time line before my next increase after the 100/5000 limit base from your experience. 2 to 3 months? more than a year?
This is assuming that I keep getting positive feedbacks and always maxed out the limit every month

I've had few accounts that have been on 120 listing limit for about a year. Other I've had increases every month or two, depending how much I list.

It comes down to few different things, but most important things are if you list to the max, and then how many items do you actually sell?
If you list 100 items every month, but sell 10% of them in a month then surely 100 limit is enough.
If you list 100 items and you sell 70-90% of the items, surely you need higher limits.

I have noticed that the sell-through seems to be more important in some cases.
For example, I have 300 limit account and I sell 150 items pretty quickly, without listing to the max and I get a limit bump soon after.

So yeah, max your listings and make sure you actually sell the items also. Unless you want to call/chat to them, then this is the only thing you can do.

That pretty much sums it up.

If the account started with 100/5000 and you haven't had one increase, then it seems like you never used up all 100 or most of it.

I have started with many low limit accounts and got 2/3 increases in one month if you use up your limit and sell 70/80%.

You need to MAX out your sales every month. You could have had many hundreds of feedback by now if you sold to your limits every month and of course more sales means more profit.

My smallest limit account I have that is 11 months old is: Copy and Paste from ebay

You can sell up to 15,000 items or up to $150,000.00 per month, whichever comes first.

If you want a large revenue source and to be able to grow your ebay business with any velocity you need to use multiple accounts.

Also, you are on this forum, so you realize just how easy it is to loose an entire business and how long and hard it can be to rebuild it already.

Think of multiple accounts as a BLESSING and not a pain in the rear. The tiniest amount of work it takes to run say 10 accounts means your room for growth and profit with minimal risk is EXPONENTIALLY greater that one single weak account ever can be with the minimal amount of exposure to risk.

This is the TROOF.

I've got 8 active accounts now and I can easily manage them, even without VM(Starting to move all my accounts there now, as I've got plans to grow a bit)


I think one thing that people don't realise is how much more stable sales become with multiple accounts.
I have noticed that sometimes I have slower weeks on certain accounts, but then other accounts still bring me the money in nice and smooth.

I remember when I only had one account, I had weeks where sales dropped because of "something"(Who knows what) and after I'd sell certain amount/qty I noticed that my sales slowed down a bit.

Now with multiple accounts, things just are a lot more stable- I have yet to notice a week where all my accounts "feel slow".


Having multiple accounts might be one of the most important aspects of any good and successful long terms stealth plan.

Just to add to what I stated earlier along with Haidukken: With visibility throttling by ebay on fixed price listings, if you want to have magnitudes of success, you need multiple accounts.

If you run auctions, then a few huge limit accounts are super handy as long as you never loose them and know how to work through duplicate listings but if it goes down, you lost your whole game.

You do need the patience to roll with multiple accounts - don't have all eggs in one basket

I made an account, not a very good account as I started with 10/1000, but then I called the month after and it raised to 20/2000 and then they raised me to 30/6000 by the third month!
