You can waste your time taping addresses on your packages all you want, but packages are routed to their destination by bar code data. I edit the label before printing, but the barcode doesn't change.
BTW-you should always use a somewhat close "shipped from" zip code. It doesn't have to be the return address code. That will avoid the receiver from being charged in the scenario you mentioned.
