MP situation for EU accounts?
 

So, how it is going with the creativity with MP? EB seems giving hard times for US and UK users, but how about EU?

This is individual for each country , I think ebay will check government databases for all countries where adyen is accepting payments. I expect weaker checks with payoneer

Not sure how they plan to do it in small countries like Latvia where there is no way to check ID unless you are a bank registered in Latvia.

Latvia will not have adyen though. I have been payoneer customer for many years and I know for a fact they use face recognition software and regularly ask suspicious customers to send in selfies holding passport , sheets of paper with specific text etc.

this is pretty much the kind of checks you can expect to see in countries outside of adyen's scope

I've just checked our public register, they offer to check ID number only. And they just say if it is valid or not - no possibility to check any other details.

Wrong. Latvia is moving to MP in May. Tomorrow is deadline to update account details and then they will roll out MP invites.

anyway , as far as Latvia and any other country is concerned. If there was a message saying that your deadline to check your details is the 20th of May because MP will be rolled out soon then it will be payoneer , I know people who received this for various countries , even exotic ones

it is highly unlikely it will be adyen , they sent this message specifically to those countries where payoneer will soon kick in. it will be interesting to see what kind of onboarding payoneer is gonna have here because with their other business on amazon etc. there is no credit card risk involved while here it is not clear who will be taking the risk . there is hint where payoneer or adyen will be used because MP for payoneer will be run from ebay office in Moscow and various messages show Ilya Kretov as signatory because he runs all ebay operations on emerging markets

There isn't one deadline for all, it depends on your account.

For example if you start selling on a dormant account now, you will get a message in the next few days saying to register by something like 25th June

BG is moving on MP im May too. Bank account or Payoneer will be the payout options, as the email states. But, nobody knows here which one will be chosen one. I wouldn't be Neo :)

I had no ID check so far using Payoneer on Italian account. Mismatched name seems not to be a problem.

Payoneer is NOT stealth... is in my name. "creativity" was meant on the eBay side if I understood correctly.

If anyone have experience with Payoneer stealth accounts, please share. Many of us will need that when registering on MP EU.

I had a lot of success having stealth Payoneer. However, they give EU iban only by a request. And I have no clue how to make such request recently. As there is no any way to send a ticket about it to him - everything is replied automatically by robots. And phone call is not available - they say it is only for accs with non-zero turnover.

Thanks! They stopped giving that wirecard iban when it went south. They started offering citibank iban later, but only by request. Contact info above is wonderful!
