Being asked to upgrade to bus account

i currently use a stealth account and unfortunately due to the amount of sales i got asked to upgrade to business account, has anyone had this? is it possible just to make a new ebay or any advice

you just upgrade , as long as you do not have problems with personal details and banks they will just ask you to re-verify bank account and will do a new check of identity

yeah but id rather stay on a personal, no way to get around it?

Unfortunately if they are insisting, it seems that you have very little choices.

Unless you can speak to someone useful at support, and insist the items you're selling are personal goods such as clearing out random items from your home.

But this depends on items and quantities you are selling, it would be hard to argue this if each item is the same in different variants / more quantities than one.

If they are single quantity items, and are varied, I think this is doable.

But this depends on items and quantities you are selling, it would be hard to argue this if each item is the same in different variants / more quantities than one.

I think as a business account you also have the option for more sales and advertising and a few other things. It might be worth a look into.

right now they do not care , if it changes in the future hard to tell. ebay uk are not like amazon , they do not police the marketplace for tax and competition violations. of course you will have to provide your NIN so in the worst scenario at some point in the future you may be asked to register for VAT

Unfortunately not, if you are selling at a business capacity on a personal account, your lucky you got asked to upgrade, they usually ban you as this directly violates one of their seller policies.

Your best bet if you want to maintain no fee selling is by having multiple stealth accounts in different names but that is also pricey and very lengthy.

If your a top rated seller, being a business seller isn't the end of the world, yes you lose about 10% in fees per sale but your volume increases exponentially so you end up making more money in the long run, just got to see how to make it work.
