Default Has Ebay lost their mind?

I am a developer who was trying to import listings into ebay for my client company. First i created a multi user account and had access through multi-user to my client's account. But it seemed working with Ebay MIP through multi user account was difficult, so i temporarily changed the clients' account phone number to my phone number (after client's permission of course) so that i can access the account easily for the time period during which i planned to import the listings using MIP. After couple of days, before i even imported any listings, ebay messages me and my client. To my client they wrote that their account was suspended indefinitely and to me they wrote that my account is suspended/blocked indefinitely and that i'll never be allowed to sell on ebay anymore. So my question is, has ebay lost their mind?

What is MIP and where are the listings you are trying to import?

there is a golden rule to follow:

account must be established first with a stable selling history of at least 4-6 months until you start importing anything or doing any significant changes to it incl. setting up additional users or changing personal details

what you did might work on amazon but on ebay new accounts get suspended randomly for anything or for nothing

Ebay considers itself to be a person to person sales venue, altho we know it aint so anymore.
What you did is not common practice among small sellers.
Is your client planning to open a store on EBAY,there should be phone support for those sellers.

Do you guys know any phone numbers the firm owner can try talking with them about this issue?

This will probably not reactivate my Ebay privileges as a developer, but at least my client's company has a chance

go to Ebay seller forum and ask.
Is your client a big retailer?
There is phone support for those sellers /
if you click on help and support, eventually it will give you a phone number to call

first of all, please set the country flag you're living in in your forum profile.

What you 're doing can be flagged as someone potentially hacked into the account by eBay. Some times we learn the hard way.

But at least you're here now so you can learn how things can be done safely for the future.

they won't help you , there are useless reps on the phone who have zero authority to suspend or reinstate anyone

ebay always play the same game , you get suspended and after the first appeal they confirm the same decision without any further investigation , if you appeal again they look at first appeal and confirm the decision from first appeal so that you will be running in circles without any progress

the only way to get reinstated here is if the account belongs to a large company which could turn directly to ebay management otherwise you will be getting the same result from ebay employees who are mostly based in india or southeast asia

Do you have a technician in the company?
I know there are some sites which will allow members to drop listings to Ebay like Rubylane, and there are websites like BONANZA which will copy your eBAY listings to its site.
Ebay should have a way to allow a shop to mass load its listings, there are some pretty large shops on Ebay

ebay has lost their mind..if even explaining who we are and what we're trying to achieve, doesn't bring them back to senses...mind lost
Company can't sell their products on ebay using their first account, developer who tried to import listings banned from ebay forever. Indians replying BS on appeals of the company owner lol

it is not that bad , they just sent a standard text , no one from this account is banned forever , you can just open new accounts

ebay really don't care , they suspend people randomly on new accounts but do not blacklist since they know that many suspensions are bogus and hit legitimate people
