Account permanently suspended, should I provide my full SSN for eBay to release funds
So I’m in a bit of bind here.
My friend signed up for a seller account for me and provided his last four of social. This account was just permanently banned for selling too much since registration. Right before the ban, the total sale exceeded $600 and eBay wants full SSN to release fund.
My question is, since eBay doesn’t have my friend’s full social, I may be able to have him create another account. But once I provide eBay with his full social for the banned account, they’ll link accounts in the future.
What’s the best way to go about this? My goal is to have another account but $700 is also too much to lose. Does eBay go through escheatment for banned accounts whose identity is verified but no 1099 is issued when the total sale has exceeded $600?
