I must say I am also a Drop ****ter and I have had a lot of accounts that were suspended in the last few years and thank God all of my payouts were received. The last one 20k was sent a few days ago and 40k payout was sent about a week ago after my account was restricted for more than a year and I was able to reinstate it LOL!

I think as long as you dont commit any fraud eBay will release your money. Maybe OP was committing some type of fraud. Not saying you were, just saying potentially you were. Say you provided a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ ID , that would be considered as identity theft etc ..

So an update.
After I reported it to the Financial Ombudsman, I got them to reinstate the account for 48 hours, allowing me to change my phone number and bank account on file.
And that allowed me to provide them my passport + driver's license which they asked for.
They rejected both of my 100% legit documents, and said they don't believe I am providing real documents and decided to keep my money for money laundering prevention.... Like WTF, they seem to have lost their minds.
The account has been selling for 2+ years, £50 - £150 a day avg.
Practically just scammed me with a made up reason.
So yeah, for the future I won't be holding up more than £50 worth of eBay balance(just enough to cover a return or a dispute or two).

That's sick to see - rejecting legitimate documents...clearly blatant screwing you over antics

Onus becomes on victor to chase them for the payment.

They released 40k and 20k recently from 2 different accounts however I still have another account with 43k and 22k .... Like you I realized it's just not a good idea to keep selling once you get restricted. Especially after your post. EBay is a fraudulent company and we should treat them the same way they treat their sellers.

I think it was all over the news at the time too.
