I would like to know if there is as much profit to be made from amazon as there is to be made from ebay?
According to stats Amazon is far more popular than ebay is however... do you still get the same buying power as ebay?

I thought there be an Amazon section on the forum however there isnt so I thought I list it in the ebay section

Selling on Amazon can be just as profitable, or even more profitable than selling on eBay. But it depends on what you are selling. Not every category is open on Amazon and not everything in the open categories will do as well as it does on eBay.

And Amazon is VERY customer service focused. Buyers have a MANDATORY 30 day return privilege, so you cannot state 7 days like you can on eBay. Amazon has ZERO TOLERANCE for unprofessional behavior, shoddy merchandise, counterfeits, slow shipping and poor customer service. They don't want to be known as eBay v2.0.

To see which would be more profitable, just look at the prices for the item in question on Amazon and on eBay. Sorry I cannot be more specific, but there is no one-size-fits-all answer here.

Is it possible to do drop shipping on Amazon? Or is this not possible?

Thanks!

Technically, it is allowed. But they really don't like it. If you have a good supplier who ships quickly, it could work. But you cannot sell something, then wait for the money to hit your account and then order it. Well, you COULD, but eventually you would lose the account.

Let me tell you...it's all about the NICHE product or category you have. Amazon and eBay are both wonderful platforms to sell on; however, selling item A on eBay may not be as good as selling item A on Amazon. And vice versa.

Just gotta try both out.
