isnt the point of this forum getting back on ebay and staying for good rather than commiting same mistakes again n again n again just to be suspended again? if u donot stop from wat u were doing it clearly means u were right in the firt place to get booted

that depends. some people here may have made one mistake and are truly only interested in getting back on and staying on, with one good account. problem is once you're off, it's really hard to stay back on for long no matter what you sell.

others on this site sell questionable items and will be booted again sooner rather than later, usually. these guys share info they need with each other on this forum. nothing wrong with it. i am glad aspkin lets it all ride and does not censor anybody.

trick is to take out of it what YOU need. not to judge what other people may be doing. then again, this is an open forum and we all have an opinion right?

at least that is how i'm trying to look at things.

you might be in bad shape. they may be lying about sending it by mail, but if not.... watch out. is there anyway they can track you down?

exactly. we're all doing something wrong, or at least against ebay's policies.

in a world of black and white, there is no gray area.

check the email address. if it's the company, they would probably send it under @brandname.com if they are serious, or @lawfirm.com. You could probably suss out who sent it.

This could be bull****. Few years back got a notice from a Vero Company telling me C AND D some stuff of theirs I was selling.

It came from the official site meaning. dude@Verocompany.com
Like the others are saying it could be a competitor or a scammer. In my letter they never asked for my stuff or my providers or etc. This mail sounds fishy. A lawyer can issue one so make sure you track down this lawyer and see if its legit.

The account just got killed for "7 days", according to eBay's suspension notice, but I guess I will just write it off. Moving on to the other accounts. Admitted, I sell brand name items from over here in Japan, but they're authentic from the same factory that produces them for the retail shops, no difference. They just go out through the back door by the factory owner.

I list them for about 40% of the retail price, so I wonder if I should start listing them at the retail price and see if I still get the boot. Or start the listings on Friday early morning, so they end over the weekend? :D So far all my listings that ran through the weekend were OK.

Default VERO - Some trademark holders going too far..

I listed a few authentic items on eBay that I bought at a fraction of the price after the shop closed down. Now I listed them for the actual retail price on eBay and even included high resolution images of the original tags, with barcode, sticker, etc. So far so good, the auction ended and ...guess what? I get a VERO email saying the trademark holder complained to eBay about a counterfeit item. No chance, I bought this from one of their own shops that closed down. I emailed the trademark holder, but so far no response.

To shut down counterfeits seems alright to me, but authentic items that were made and produced by the company, and then them not allowing you to sell them is unacceptable.

I was VeRO'd once because I sold an item below the company's allowed reselling price, not because they were counterfeit. So they do VeRO for different reasons other than being counterfeit. imjustme I think your items were counterfeit or at the least, you have a history of selling counterfeit items on ebay so EB (and the companies) assume you are continuing to sell counterfeits. Yes im being accusatious but im open to what you have to say.

they were not auctions they were BIN.. but I think the company would have done the same if I was having more than 1 auction end every day below their resale minimum. Also I did not even buy the product from the company directly, I bought it from another reseller so I never even had to sign their contract.. but I was still aware of it.

If I sold counterfeits, I'd tell you, honestly. I buy things from Japan mainly. The same products (even electronics) are a lot cheaper than in the US/Europe over here. I do get the majority of the items I sell on eBay directly from the factory. The trademark owner has them produced over here because its cheaper and the factory owners don't mind selling on a few hundreds or even thousands of items to others for a fraction of the price. Its the same thing, down to the last little detail.

But obviously, if the original sells for $120 and I list it on eBay starting at $45, I get VERO'd.
