Emm, yes buying feedback isn't recommend at all, unless you want to get suspended. There are some ways you can do it, but never with the 1 cent items.

Default Could you tell us what the other methods are?

what are the other methods for quickly building feedback? I had seen the one referenced in your book regarding looking for ebooks with free shipping (which is ironic, because isn't that the point of an EBOOK :D ).

Sell a non physical item under a different category. Eventually you'll get enough buyers to build up to 10. Normally not selling ebooks is not an issue but I am currently have alot of trouble attracting buyers for my non ebook stuff.

I just sell on a lot of accounts. List about 3-5 items per day on 8-10 accounts, then I watch the money come in. Once I have enough feedback, I list with BuyItNow. Or start out using the shops.

But Aspkin said, earlier in this thread...

"Emm, yes buying feedback isn't recommend at all, unless you want to get suspended. There are some ways you can do it, but never with the 1 cent items."

I asked what those "ways" were. Still no answer. Aspkin?

Thanks.

Which ways... okay we know eBay bans for buying cheap items quickly; cheap meaning less then a dollar and auctions that have no shipping.

You can't really buy feedback, but you can aim for one or two per week if you want to push things. Buying one or two cheap items every once in awhile is okay, but buying these items too fast will get you suspended.

Another way is to sale cheap tangible items, but again very slowly.

Overall it isn't recommended, but I know people do what they want so if it were me, it's what I would do.

you should read my thread about selling cheap furniture or big items and getting your own accounts to buy it and make the delivery pick up.

Thumbs up I had tried that with a couple of accounts a while back...

Creating some dummy accounts and just buying stuff to build feedback on an account.

It seemed like a good idea, but they took down the account for manipulating feedback along with the other accounts that gave the feedback.

In some other instances, though, it worked like a charm. Maybe I just pushed my luck doing it too much. I get impatient waiting for the regular buyers to get back. Takes too long.

Thanks for your input guys. Appreciate it.

Oh, and Aspkin, I have sent you several emails regarding a general problem on the forum. Would appreciate if you could get back to me. Thanks.

I just saw a guy taken down yesterday for this right after he left one of the feedbacks on a buyer account I have. As soon as he left me the feedback (and probably others), he was "no longer a registered user". Whoops.

That's funny because I don't really notice it that often as a seller. In the past I was kicked off of ebay for buying feedbacks though. That was of course after they made it a real violation.

Maybe it's automated now, as I'm sure an ebay representative wouldn't be able to pick up on it that fast...

Default What was incredibly stupid about it was...

the guy had over 100 positive feedbacks, many legitimate, and he had been around for well over a year. Lost his account trying to pump up da numbahs.

Whoops.

I bet he just went through a list of non-existent sales leaving feedbacks and EBAY's bots nailed him.

I just started selling on an account of mine that has been 'sleeping' since about 8 months now. I had sold feedback there, under my wife's real name, but then my own account got killed for selling feedback and I stopped selling there completely.

This account has like 40+ feedback from eBooks sold on it. Had no problems selling on it now. 8)

How about selling web design service that can be done in no time and no tangible good shipped? Like making a webpage or auction listing layout with template, just throw in some junk info. Hmm, there will be many 'professional web designers' come on the scene at ebay.
