Default Creating new Static IP's on the fly

One of my biggest victories on Ebay suspension is my ability to swap Static IP addresses when I want. According to the ebook Ebay Replay, and other online sources, Ebay will give you better "ranking" if you are always using the same IP. I guess in their eyes a Static IP means that you probably have broadband, you’re stable and stationary, and easier to track in legal situations.

So if you believe in that theory (some don't) and have a cable modem I can teach you how to have as many Static IP's as you want. You can do this all in your own home on the same computer without spending any money. Here we go.

- Plug your computer directly into the modem. Ethernet only, no routers, no wireless.
- Reboot your computer
- While the computer is booting unplug the modem's electricity and plug it back in
- Once all the lights come back on the modem go to IP Burger - What is my IP Address? Find Your IP Address! and copy/paste the IP address into a notepad.
- Download and unzip Mac MakeUp - MAC Address spoofing tool
- Goto start -control panel -networks and right-click Local Area Connection and choose "disable".
- Unplug the modem's electricity again for about 30 seconds and plug it back in
- Open MacMakeup choose a random MAC address and click change.
- Copy the MAC address into a notepad.
- Wait for the modem lights to come back on
- Goto start -control panel -networks and right-click Local Area Connection and choose "enable".
- Goto IPBurger and check your IP, it should be different.
- Copy that IP address into the same notepad with the MAC address. Save this notepad for ongoing changes.
- Repeat the process for as many IP’s you need.
- When you want to use the same IP address again, just use (spoof) the same MAC address
- The same IP address will only last as long as its DHCP lease time
- Check your lease time by going to start - run - type cmd - type ipconfig /all and look for the date/time your lease "expires".
- Disable/Enable the local area connection may extend your lease time. On mine at home I get one hour on the first connection, but that extends to 24 hours after I disable/enable the LAN again.
- As long as you use the MAC address before the IP lease expires then the IP will not change. I've kept 2 of mine the same for months and simply throw others away after they're suspended.

I hope this will help some people out. Aspkin, you are more than welcome to use this in your FAQ's if you see fit.

Yea, it looks a lot more complicated than it really is. Truthfully, the whole process takes me 30-60 seconds.
