| | | aspkin | 08-14-2007 03:59 AM | Nice stuff FeeBay Balling. |
| JackNoMore | 08-14-2007 12:49 PM | I'll have more of a response later but for now...
The part I was disagreeing with about Paypal not being able to go into your account was the checking account, not savings. If you meant savings, we were on two different pages. Of course now they can't go into either, but I've since read it's a better idea for double protection to just deposit into a savings account and then transfer out as needed.
And...
About deleting information from your Paypal account-- the point I wanted to make was that the address (email or simply physical address) that is to be deleted has not been affiliated with any suspended account nor the accounts linked (paypal to ebay) YET. However, if I were to link the accounts before removing that information, I might have a definate problem. Are you saying it won't matter if I delete it now (before linking) or not...once Paypal has that information in their files, regardless of whether you delete it on your side, they still have it forever? And using that information, once you link the two accounts (paypal and ebay) together, they can then use that information in their database to suspend your account?
And one small last point on aol...you mentioned to sign in through a guest account. This is apparently where we parted company, because though this may be how to do it for dsl, it won't work through dial-up the same way. Once you're connected, yes you can go to aol.com but you'll still have to sign on as a guest to use their service. That's when it tries to connect you as it searches for your name. |

| donenvy | 08-24-2007 03:29 PM | feebay, i went through your video tutorial of setting up aol 9.0 vr and still getting the same problems. plus few steps in your video didnt appear as i tried them. u may be the lucky one. if it makes you feel any better you can try remote assistant my computer and see for yourself. but i wanted to know is there anything i can do from here? like is the an alternative to aol 9.0vr? |
| donenvy | 08-24-2007 03:33 PM | feebay. i tried your video but still getting the same problems. also there were a few steps that were different to your video. if it makes you feel any better you can try remote assistant my compuetr and you can see for yourself. but i wanted to ask you is there anything i can do myself from this end, is there an alternative to the aol 9.0vr??? |
| wyovkpgy | 08-26-2007 12:11 AM | i am very confused with banking information between Aspkin saying and you saying.Aspkin said :"Enter false banking information. Keep your routing number the same, but change your actually account number. Simply change a few numbers". You said :"I go and get a savings account. You can even get them online now with most banks without leaving the house" .So i want to know i enter the false banking information or correct banking information?
If you were right ,will i apply for pairing an banking information for eBay account number? |
| dakrei | 08-26-2007 08:13 PM | 2 things.
I used the prepaid phone card and it was a life saver when ebay wanted to verify my account. Im selling through autiva and not using paypal just merchant +. Am I flaged now that they had to verify my phone #
Also I intend to open another ebay acct using turbolister. I am a bit confused on what every body states in linking accounts. Is it ok to use a new PP email address and bank (Its an old verified account that did get shut down) when i am in turbo lister I check the box and ad my new email. Is this linked? |
| tyandlayne | 08-27-2007 06:41 AM | When signing up with a simon card do you use a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address that you would use on ebay so the two addresses match.. Please reply.. |
| wyovkpgy | 08-28-2007 12:19 AM | I am confused with some information in your first thread . You said: Get a prepard card like using simon cards or from a store. Reloadable if you want.
i ask:what does the "Reloadable"mean? You said: Then lets the accounts sleep for awhile - no activity at all.
i ask: how long do i let the accounts sleep ?
Does this "Activity" refer to activity of buyer account or seller account? You said: I get my prepaid card out that I purchased.i ask: Did you mean get money out of prepaid card? You said: 1 week before I will begin to sell I open up my ebay and paypal account that I want to sell on and update the information. (note: this is why you when you set them up you keep the addresses within your area or if you made the mistake of putting in an address that is away from where you are then you need to go get a po box in that area. Use the reason that you work in the area and it is easier to pick your mail up there if they ask).
i ask: now that you have set up addresses within your area when you set up account, why do you said update the information 1 week before I will begin to sell? |
| wyovkpgy | 08-28-2007 01:04 AM | YOU said:I get a prepaid cell phone. Cheap crap that means nothing. In case ebay wants to call me... lol.
I ask:now that you have apply for phone number from AOL.com,Why do you need to get a prepaid cell phone? Do i must do it ? |
| mudrat26 | 09-01-2007 05:08 PM | Aol accounts Hi all, was trading for many years on ebay then bang 11 ids wiped out over night linking to an account 3 years old crazy. Anyways I'm on a re build now and loved the aol idea (cheers feebay) and went about doing it, I got it all sorted and checked the ip and yes it was indeed different (result) i have then made a new ebay id via this. I logged out closed down AOL re opened it and pulled up the ip and it was the same as before, how can you make sure it is different to allow for multiple sepearte account set ups as stated in your superb post Feebay? I have left it a whole day and it still brings up the same aol ip as yesterday even after logging off and turning connection off for a night? any ideas?? |
| anotherebayhater | 09-01-2007 07:15 PM | mudrat get ghost surf it changes your ip every log on pm me if you need more info. |
| mudrat26 | 09-02-2007 09:50 AM | Aol Method "Not all of AOL uses this cascading proxy method; this is mainly for some AOL dial up users. Why? None of the network MCNE`s I work with including me knows the answer but there is plenty you can do about it"
Got this from another forum could explain why some get success and other don't, any work around if you in the situation where you don't get a changed ip everytime? |
| hadenough | 09-03-2007 08:20 AM | aol This website is fab...
Regarding AOL. Aol is my ISP, I am on broadband, does that mean I get a different IP address each time or do I have to sign in as guest.?
Also, If I register to ebay on someone elses pc, ie at the local library, (lets call it A)
then work my new ebay from my current IP, at home (B)
could they link AB with my old suspended account.
Finally, just had a new router, IP is different from suspended account IP, can I still be linked, does the new IP give me away ie 10 No Street, Nowhere, UK
Sorry for questions but soooo want to make a living out of ebay.
Thanks :D |
| sharrychrist | 09-04-2007 06:06 AM | Hi, this post is very informative; however I would like some specific information. If someone can help me then please send me a private message. Best Regards, |
| JackNoMore | 09-16-2007 02:43 PM | So you just keep the regular setting that says "you've reached the privatephone mailbox of" or something like that? No formal greeting or any of that?
I'm about to do a G.checkout for just under $2K and I've been looking around the groups. Seems there are still some problems with payment being doled out. A few people have even complained of WEEKS. Have you ever had to wait that long? What's your average payout time? Should you expect a longer than average time for the first couple payouts? |
| JackNoMore | 09-16-2007 02:57 PM | Ok that makes a lot more sense. lol I was wondering!
Have you ever noticed any particular day being better to initiate the payment and receive? Do weekends tend to slow things down or have you noticed? Is Sunday a good day to initiate? |
| JackNoMore | 09-17-2007 06:09 AM | Ok I just wanted to clarify. Most agencies don't include weekends, however Paypal (for instance) seems to, as payments do move on the weekend--They're just not deposited into your bank. I was curious if Google operates the same way or by the bank schedule. |
| x2ruff4u | 09-26-2007 03:57 PM | Okay question, do you make a new bank account for every account you make? Like you go to a different online place and make a new one?! That is alot of stuff to do.
Or do you use the same one bank account and then use it again on another pp account? Im a bit confused on this... |
| JackNoMore | 11-06-2007 06:18 PM | Perhaps this is new, perhaps it's old. Either way, it's not on the first page and don't feel like sorting through 16 pages to ask this--Anyone know if there's a way to get around an "administrator only" setting at a library for aol downloads? The usual ways don't work. Please post here or PM me directly. Thanks |
| Chris Hanson | 11-06-2007 11:24 PM | Jack, I would tell you but knowing what your up too I couldnt let myself go that low and I would feel bad for those buyers and children thats gonna have undelivered items |
| JackNoMore | 11-08-2007 04:05 PM | Ha Ha. Generally, Chris, I don't get the feeling you know what you're doing, much less anyone else. :p
This is about changing IP settings with AOL for anyone who doesn't understand the relevance. I'm having trouble with this on the public computers I'm using, as they have some common blocks in place to prevent malicious software downloads. Short of knowing the registration codes, does anyone know if it can be done? |
Keep getting suspended.... In the past 3 days, my two new ebay accounts got suspended. I opened these two new accounts through AOL, took new pictures and used different wordings. Still got suspended 10 minutes after they were listed. What did I do wrong? Can anyone help? |
| ebayhateluv | 11-25-2007 03:20 AM | HI- Maybe multiple reasons, Same Pc as the other accts suspended? Same Router/dsl modem? LInked with same paypal account? Ebay username similar? ITems Very Specialty items? Designer items/Big Name Brands? Accts created on same pc as suspended? EbaY FEES were designated to be paid with same cc as suspended acct?
Same address or phone used as suspended acct? IF 10 minuts later, sounds like cookies/same ip address prob.
All the reasons/info are in this forum..
Best of lUck :) |
| sunsun1437 | 12-06-2007 02:39 AM | I used AOL to sign in ebay, and changed my password .
I got an email reply still shows my real ip address.

aol is not able to hide ur ip address. | It's worked just fine for me for several months now. Make sure to always delete your cookies religiously.. |
| ebayhateluv | 12-06-2007 11:14 AM | hey- funny thing-- i had 4 accts wiped out this week- says linked to an acct i used for maybe 4 days about 4 months ago-- i even forgot about that user name... SO, maybe aol does come back and use the same ips after awhile??
MY mdse was different, diff pics, etc..- HAD to be the aol ip.... |
| goose | 12-06-2007 08:46 PM | I'm not sure what it is. I had opened some accounts through AOL and some of them got suspended and others did not. I used different photos, descriptions, etc. for each ebay account. I clear my cookies religiously and there is no link between them and the Pisspal accounts. I've been using the same computer for over a year now so it can't be an issue of using the same PC. Something happened on ebay recently because the accounts were all suspended on the same day. Perhaps they changed their security algorithms once again? Maybe it was because I used Simon Visa gift cards on all of them but then again it cant be because a few accounts werent suspended.
Paypal sucks. They wont even let you spend your own money. I tried to make a payment using an alternate funding source that is already linked into my Pisspal account but the confirm screen would keep changing it back to the original payment type. I called them and they said that the payment amounts were unusual based on my account history so they are limiting me "for your own protection." I can protect myself and I never asked them to protect me. It's my own money so I should be able to do what I want with it, not have a so called bank imposing restrictions on it. And to make matters worse, they continue to try to withdraw the funds from my linked bank account which has $0 in it so now the damn bank keeps charging me a $35 nsf fee every time pisspal hits it.
Sorry for the bitching but they are big time douchebags over there. |
| ebayhateluv | 12-06-2007 10:25 PM | I think we ALL AGREE with you-- that is OUR MOney! Someone needs to get that clear to Paypal, maybe they will someday limit a Senator or a Diplomat, etc,. then the media will get ahold of it..big time! |
| ivegotinfo | 12-07-2007 12:40 AM | u can call up ur bank and put a stop payment on any name. since i sell a lot, i put a stop on "paypal" so now they cant withdraw anything.
before it happened, i got an nsf fee, called up bank and they reversed fee (if you talk to them nice they will be nice) |
| Chris Hanson | 12-07-2007 01:06 AM | Paypal cannot dip into your bank account and if they do you better start looking for a new car and house courtesy of Paypal |
| jfl827 | 12-09-2007 09:22 PM | I followed the guides and I was able to sell on EBay again for several months!! Unfortunately, I got suspended again last week and I haven't been able to change my IP by simply turning the modem off which always have worked for me (I've been trying for 4 straight days, and my IP is still the same). So today I got really desperate (being the holiday season and all) I installed another LAN card onto my computer. So when I checked out my IP on the new LAN card, the IP address was changed. So I pulled out my index cards (thanks for the advice by the way), signed onto one of the accounts created at a local library, and listed 1 item. But within hours, eBay suspended me for linking to a suspended account. I am very positive that I have followed everything listed in the guide. Every single piece of info is different. So my question is - Does the "subnet mask" change when the IP changes? I think that's how eBay tracked me down, via the subnet mask.
I'm so ready to get dial-up tomorrow, but then again I remember you said something about signing on with AOL will give you a different IP every time. Could you please send me the link for this AOL IP changing program (there are too many out there)? Or if you have a hard copy, could you please email it to my at jfl827@yahoo.com |
| ivegotinfo | 12-09-2007 09:41 PM | you can change ip (if your modem is connected directly to your computer) by going to:
start->run
type "cmd"
type "ipconfig /release"
then after all done type
"ipconfig /renew"
should get a new ip. |
| jfl827 | 12-09-2007 10:51 PM | thanks ivegotinfo for the quick reply. I have tried the ipconfig/release method many times, but the IP is still the same.
I just downloaded AOL 9.0 VR and I do get a new IP every time. But the question is do I have clear the cookies and other stuff in the AOL browser? Do I have to use an AOL email to sign up for a new ebay account? I'd prefer Yahoo or something. |
| koalawash | 12-09-2007 11:36 PM | It doesn't matter whether you're using AOL or not.. you must clear all your cookies each time you're about to log in to eBay or Paypal. The quickest and most effective way to do this that I've found is to download this program called CCleaner. Just run the program and it will delete every type of cookie on your system in a few seconds. |
