Default New one suspended again

7 days open. Did a day's worth of browsing in help, forums, etc. Bought (but didn't pay for) a couple of items. Then listed about 2 or 3 items a day. Total of 4 listings closed before getting suspended again today. Got the "in the spirit of" suspended email. Used yahoo email account. Followed the guide to a T.

0 for 3 in trying for new accounts. What the heck am I doing wrong?!

Few questions to figure this out...

1. Are you on a home or school/library/Job network???
2. Do you any routers or switches?
3. cable or dsl??
4. Are you using proxies??
5. Are you using free email address?

Dialup using yahoo as the email address. Selling in a very standard category (i.e. $30 avg ending selling price, no trademarks issues).

leave the free email alone.. Try a paid one since your using dial up. Alot of fraudsters use dial up when frauding on ebay. So ebay might to see a paid email for saftey..

Just my thought

Wondering if I could be messing up by the way I insert my pictures. Use a free picture hosting service like photobucket and put the url in the area on ebay. Any dangers here?

I'd just insert the picture so it shows. People are lazy and you'd be surprised how many won't even bother to click a link!

Ah sorry about that whome. Photobucket has a scrambler that I've been using. Wouldn't that be enough security to prevent the url from being associated with a banned account? It basically creates nonsense out of the name so others can't guess your account link.

Whome no problem with that, but every time I create a new account I re-upload all my images so that the URL is different and cannot be associated with past images on a suspended account's listings.
That is what I meant. I'll try reuploading.

Nah, I used different pictures and a different hosting service. I was thinking that somehow their system was able to tie it back to my computer. But in thinking I don't think that is the case.

Maybe I should just take it real slower on my initial listing. I never would have thought 2-3 listings a day would attract the bot. Maybe different categories have different parameters. I even tried buying a couple of things first. I'm about to say screw this...it ain't worth it. I foresee spending 50% of my time trying to keep up with outfoxing ebay instead of focusing on my business.

Hi fellas long time no see...I was cooking with gas until recently...created new accounts after being suspended. I used the aol method..did everything to a T...and accounts were suspended. I think there is some truth in what my man here is saying. It is getting tough to open a new account. I tried to list four items...reasonably priced..3 day listing. I was suspended within 12 hours. I think using aol is a red flag..just my opinion..im trying to think of some new techniques. If you have any suggestions please help thank you!

anyone know of a way to delete your existing (suspended) profile out of ebay? I asked to be reinstated one day and they said my contact info didnt match, so they let me on for 48 hours to change it...then they suspended me again....i guess i shoulda deleted my account in those hours....sellers are getting raped in everyway ...esp. the selling fees..(listing fees, final sales fees, and then paypal fees) .... a new system/company must come soon....google hurry.....

Default Any Help would be appreciated.

Okay i have been reading these forums for months and really want to start selling on my new account but don't want to screw up. I had been selling on ebay since 1999 with over 400 true positive feedbacks. I never bought feedback. I don't run a business, I just mainly sell things we no longer need around the house or clothes we have outgrown. I did on occasion find items that were selling great and bought some and made out really well. The majority I sell are my kids clothes they out grow, so no BIG money here. It's really been more of a hobby and supplemental income. Well recently 3/07 my husband wanted a Disney Song of the South dvd so I searched ebay and there were several selling for $80. So I did a google search and found them for $13. So I bough 10- 1 to keep and 9 to resell for a profit. Isn't that the goal of sellers on ebay? Well I listed a DVD for $40 and was shut down for "copyright infringement" Not quite sure what that was about I requested more info. I got and email "due to privacy policies no info released" So I changed my wording and relisted. Again I was shut down and suspended for 1 day. I again requested more info- still none given. I then changed my photo's and relisted. Again shut down and suspended 7 days. Once reinstated I listed as a Custom Easter Basket with Free Song of the South DVD. I clearly stated in my auction you are only buying the Basket and all item inside are Gifts given for FREE. This time it sold for $40 and then I was suspended indefinately. My paypal account was also limited since the buyer paid via paypal. Now I am naive to all of this bootleg stuff and never knew these were bootlegs. I simply found an item my spouse wanted and it just also happened to be a HOT item on ebay. There were 40 other sellers selling this same dvd and not being suspended. One even sold for $305. Tell me this is not monopolized? I then tried to open a new account and it was suspended linked to suspended user. I opended a few more and they were all shut down for linked to a suspended user. This was all prior to finding your info. I then changed my ip and opened another acount with all different info and a legit CC in my maiden name and again shut down after I purchased a couple of dresses for my daughter. Nothing RED FLAG. Well I decided to have my computer reconfigured and it is now like a new computer and I have set up a couple of accounts but no activity as I do not want to screw up. I have boxes of inventory to sell (clothes). I have noticed that buyers can be rude. I sold a few items under the other id's before they were unregistered and mailed the items and now the buyers are requesting refunds for items not recvd. Paypal did refund them and I called paypal and said I have the postal reciept so they then refunded my account. Well here is my story and I hope I can sell again, my family could use the money.

So you bought 10 dvds, got them in the mail and didn't realize you had bootlegs?
Those must have been fantastic quality bootlegs for $13 if you couldn't tell the difference.

Exactly how is ebay catching you? Any ideas?
