ebay account linked & restricted

About a year ago, my primary account had been restricted because it was allegedly linked to another account. Soon after, I created a new account and began selling well. Oblivious to ebay's tracking system, the 2nd account got this message: "Attention!
We've noticed some activity on your account, and we need your help in verifying some information. We're sorry for this inconvenience, but while we're working things out with you, you'll have limited access to list new items on eBay.

Please proceed to your my eBay and follow the steps outlined in the email we sent you. Thanks for your attention to this matter!"

Should I even bother asking them about it? Does a restricted account even have a chance at being reinstated?

Sometimes it is worth it to call in and try to get it reinstated if it's pending restriction, but it depends on the circumstances, or what you yourself believe the problem is. However, if an account is suspended already, forget it, don't even bother.
