I get mc999 sometimes 1 or 2 out of 10 and sometimes not at all, and all my accounts start off with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ addresses, no vba, just vcc and a phone number that expires in a month which I never answer anyway. The small few that do get mc999 I don't even bother calling, I just save the paypal for later use.

when you say ⊗ ⊗ ⊗ ⊗ address, do you mean totally pulled out of the aire or do just claim another address as your own. I assume ebay could check with google maps or something.

also what your process on new accounts, do start selling right away? do you build up fb through buying?

⊗⊗⊗⊗ as in non existent and sure they could use google maps but they don't on mine because mine last months and months and months with no real address and no real phone # and I start off selling right away with 0 fb,

But that doesn't mean it's not better to start off with a real address, real phone # and build some fb first.

That's just the way I do it, I don't care if it get's suspended since I've got over 100 accounts and plenty of cash so they can suspend me all they want and I could care less.

But they don't, that's the point I was trying to make.

The FB buying is not always a better choice.

I built and account a while back to test an idea.

List a new pricy item and see what happens, got the MC999.

Called and told them I listed it wrong, it was used and not new.

No questions asked, told me if I changed the info to used and item would be ok to sell.

Again proving my point, best way to sell on a new account is sell yard sale junk right off the bat.

And I never sell an item for a week or more after making the account.

Make an account and sell within the hour you can say good bye in most cases.

I like your style, my question is about listing an item right away. Just made a new account and I was going to list a few small things like xbox games and dvds.. maybe like 5 auctions to start off. I read here somewhere that most ebay users actually start selling at least one item right away., right after signing up, which makes sense when you picture the average consumer after seeing an ebay app commercial or something.

It seems to register and leave for a week or more would be a little fishy from their point of view.. or maybe not , its probably all automated and maybe one gets flagged for listing right away, trying to rush things. hmm what to do

I think the trick is to make your accounts look real. So far I've been signing up, browsing, buy a few items every few days, using it like a real ebay newb probably would. I wait about 1.5-2 weeks then I list my first item.

So far it's been working out great, but it could also be a coincidence. Even if you make your account look real, I still don't think it means you're mc999 safe, it's a luck thing I'm sure.

I think I agree, I wont list right away.. did you open your sellers account and put in all your information right when you first signed up and then waited your 2 weeks? Or did you create the seller account part of signing up after the 2 weeks and sold immediately after?

I was hit with this but the funny thing was is that it was only in regards to me opening disputes/claims on eBay from crappy ebot sellers. eBot was only trying to look after me has a buyer. The email had nothing to do with my account or what i was selling. So far so good in terms of selling. I'm just waiting for the retarded Paybo holds to go away and once that's done then happy sailing for awhile. You know about the phone number, get a crappy phone service provider like Cricket or MetroPCS you can change the phone number for $5.00 to match the phone number records on eBot and Paybot. I don't care about iPhones or their related jacked up fees plus making changes will cost you more so get a crappy phone service if you need to use ebot/paybot accounts and having problems.

Yes of course they pull from the public database. Moreover, I have not found that they are being any less strict now that the holidays are over. I called about one new account that was recently brought from 10/1000 to 5/500 and the jerk on the phone told me that this was the new policy and that it may take 3 months just to get one limit increase. Needless to say, I was more than annoyed.

You have to get your accounts and pp confirmed first so you cannot list right away.

And listing X box and games first is a huge risk.

Sell items before you confirm your accounts is not good and selling risky in electronics is a 90% chance of red flags everywhere.

I have accounts 3-5 months old and just listed my first item. My limits are 20/1500 30/2000 etc. when most get 100/1000 or less on new accounts.

NO EBAY NEWBIE starts and account and sells on it right away.

Any newbie would not know how to list something that quickly.

Not for me. In my experience of 4 years and 500 accounts waiting a bit is why I dont lose accounts I believe.

And I always sell yard sale crap as my first items and never electronics.

I received an mc999, selling and buying restriction today. I thought the account was doomed but decided to call anyways. I was asked questions about where I live and was told I would get public records questions but that didn't work, they were trying to phase me using repeated questions but I didn't flinch and was re instated. The account was less than a month old and was selling, Mc999 doesn't mean your doomed just call.

is it safe to call from another phone that is linked to another account ? my home number is connected to my real account I want to call about a stealth account I called before using *67 that blocks your number and then when i called it said I see ur calling from then told me my hidden number so i just hung up before telling them which account i was calling about can they link you this way I was oing to go to a pay phone but wow they dont have many of those left anywhere !!

I wouldn't do it. I've been asked what number I was calling from before so my guess is that type of stuff is logged. If they bother with beacons in emails, this is definitely something they would bother with.

Use a phone only associated with that account.

You're right, most new ebayers do list right away like me, after turning it into a seller that is.

I usually have plenty of sleepers but always list an item when turning it into a seller.

It's usually always a brand new item like a cd, dvd or video game using ebay's product catalog description and stock photo,

and I rarely get mc999.

so from what i gather from masta and sandy aged buyer accounts do not get mc999 even if something is listed immediately after turning it into seller acct. wonder what the magic aging is.... 3 months?
