Any party making a vero objection will have different requirements. Some will want your blood until you give in or back off if you don't or ignore you if they see you NAR'U. Depends on your actions after vero action.

arysmith 02-16-2008 11:10 PM

Like you said, still NARU. VERO owner knows they don't have a case, but what does it matter to them? They still got what they wanted.

GreenBean 02-17-2008 12:29 AM

Yeah. But if and after you read the threads of this forum, you will be empowered
to get what you want. Your life has to become a game plan from now.

VERO Problems

I have few accounts that I sell on the items.

One one of my accounts I opened it on the 12th of February and have sold 3 items the last one today and then I tried re listing couple of the same items again but when ever I list it within minutes they are taken down by ebay and I receive an email saying that it is a ebay violation. Today I have received about 5 of those and I will relist until they suspend me I want to see how many warning will I get with 0 feedback so far. I use auctiva.com to list my items for this account.

My second account I have opened on the 23 of January and so far have sold few items and I have a feedback score of 5 with a few more to come after people receive my items. I have also tried to list the same items on this account as on the first one and they list without any problems and they appear within 1 hour in Ebay search.

So to make it clear.

One account old 7 days. Sold 3 items Problems relisting same item

One account 27 days old not even one month sold 8 items and got 5 feedback relisting same items as first account NO PROBLEMS.

What do you think it might be.I think ebay just picked this account to monitor and now whenever I list they suspend the listing for VERO.

What do you think.

GreenBean 02-19-2008 02:56 AM

The forum has 244 threads about Vero. OK, I recommend these
vero workaround and my vero story. These are the ones to hand at the moment
for me. Reading the threads will relate to your experiences and help understand
ebay's workings.

mantisinc 02-19-2008 03:40 AM

If it's a really primne VERO product you are selling, then it will get taken down quickly. Simple as that.

On my account that was about 2 years old, 100% feedback, never any issues, I got suspended after 2 VERO removals! Pretty depressing really.

Alfonso-Jetnumbers 02-19-2008 06:16 AM

sorry, meaning of VERO?
regards

GreenBean 02-19-2008 06:58 AM

To some it is a swear word! {Specially if you try to list an item.}
Verified Rights Owner (vero) like if you have a Tag Heuer watch that you got el cheapo in Bangkok, you can not list as genuine etc. the name is the intellectual property of Tag Heuer. Also high cost clothing, sunglasses, name items. Bootleg/pirate DVDs are risky, counterfeit clothing.
Lists are closely watched by the big names & ebay for vero

Bit more info here, eBay UK: Help: VeRO Programme

arysmith 02-19-2008 09:16 AM

Problem outside of VERO, is that EBay suspends the accounts themselves by pulling listings.

wmugrad05 02-19-2008 10:40 AM

Ebay pulling my listings not vero arghhhhh!!!!!

I am just absolutely furious at ebay right now they keep pulling an auction I put up saying that it contains indicators of a fraudulent listing but of course they won't tell me what looks so fraudulent, since when did they become a vero judge hell I even got the ok to list it from the VERO owner this is such crap all I get is the same stupid email I really want something done because it sells all the time and makes me a nice profit

ytl 02-19-2008 11:46 AM

be careful

All I can say is be careful, it doesn't really matter that its not vero, it matters that they think its vero, so to them it is. So, in their beaurocratic system, you now have several flags against your name one more wrong, or technically right but deemed wrong, step and you may have your account suspended. Then you'll have some good reasons to be furious.

mantisinc 02-19-2008 12:20 PM

What exactly is it that you are selling?
ARE your items ⊗⊗⊗⊗, or just renound to be ⊗⊗⊗⊗?
It's ususally 2 VERO removals, and you will be suspended.

wmugrad05 02-19-2008 07:33 PM

I sell dvd sets from tv shows they are legit, but I know there are alot of bootlegs of them on ebay but the thing is I took a pic of it and put it in my auction, so there's no reason for them to pull it

Killed by Ebay 02-20-2008 05:18 PM

What if you sold items in a basic category like books for example, do u think vero members search through categories or keywords?

bijanm 02-21-2008 02:13 AM

hey chris, i tried sending you a private message but apparently your banned or something. if you could shoot me a PM, id appreciate it. i am interested in seeing some of your websites, and was wondering how much they run for.

VERO.. or SCAM from CARTIER ??

HI:
I just wanted to see if anyone else has ever been contacted by a firm claiming they represent Cartier , out of India?? Seems weird to me, but they did NOT ask me to click on any link..
>> I answered the email from ebay, and I took teh auction down, just in case.

--The "verbage" they refer to is the simple word "TANK".. which I used to describe the style/ shape of the watch's bezel.
__I am not aware of Cartier OWNING the word "Tank".. is anyone else??
BTW- the watch I was selling was a $59-$99 watch.. NOT a brand name. The title was Handsome swiss made watch tank bezel New/Mint!
Thanks very much :))

P.S. heres their letter..

mantisinc 02-21-2008 07:51 AM

Did you email them back at all to ask about it?
I would be very suprised that a company would email directly, as opposed to going through the VERO program.

Maybe it was one of your competitors?

mobilefleet 02-21-2008 08:05 AM

ebay sucks ass.......craigslist rules! They pull my stuff too, sellers make and break them and if they keep crapping on us they will lose. I'm done trying to sell with these dumb asses pulling stuff without checking the legality of it, somebody whines because you're a competitor and then ebay pulls your auction with no basis. Not worth the hassle, and customer disservice doesn't help with automated emails, not listening to their sellers. What a sorry company.

ebayhateluv 02-21-2008 08:05 AM

HI- I of course am not operating a big acct any longer,,, so, to stay on the safe side, I just apologized, and took down the auction..
BUt, on the other hand, Rolex used to email me, (they are Gibney + Associates),
-- I thought this was "nice" + Professional if this is legit.. Better than a take down by ebay.
BUT, the word TANK is what threw me. I may google that later, to see if any lawsuits for using tank??

mantisinc 02-21-2008 08:08 AM

I did an ebay search for cartier, and it seems the legit cartier watches all ad the word "tank" in the title. So when used in conjuntion with the watch description, maybe they have got IP over that?

ebayhateluv 02-21-2008 08:10 AM

HI:
You know what?
Last Year, just when they started all the BS about strict vero, selling limits of 75%,etc..
I was talking with my acct mgr.. asked what exactly was on my listing that had "indicators of fraud"??
--she shared with me
a.) shipping out of the Country--(Ive always done this )
b.) The 1, or 3 day auction (this was me, start thurs night, end sunday eves)
c.) a NO reserve on a high priced item (no--always placed a reserve)
d.) ir-regular or free shipping (yes, sometimes offered free ship)
e.) checking the box, Private listing (thats me again....used this on all high priced items)
So, innocently.. i just had 4 out of 5.. so Listing taken down for Fraud/Suspicion of Fraud... Go figure ??
