On my second account, which is linked to my first account, does not have any violations on it at all. It's a new account. My question is, if I get a violation on my second account, will that violation carry from my second account onto my first account? Would they suspend me for getting a vero violation on my second account just because I had two on my first account? I stopped selling on my first account for a while now, but I'm worried that violations carry over from other accounts.
To answer your original question, a vero strike on the second account wont carry over on to the 1st account BUT if you get a) suspended or b) manually review, all linked accounts will go down in flames...only matter of time

I could be wrong but if you are selling the exact same items that got removed on the other account. You could be asking for trouble. I agree it would be the first time I have heard of them carrying over. It depends on how important the accounts are to you. Might want to sit it out the 90 days until the policy violations go away.

Problem is it can be rare to even get the same item listed on a 2nd account.

ebay is rather strict in that regard.

I know they have a duplicate listing policy, I am not really sure how the deal with accounts that are linked. Just starting to go down that path myself.

@vogeltron

I would suggest a cautious path then. Certain methods needed to make them work.

OP, dont list those items again if you have been VEROed and have NOT solved the issue.

Love this thread, I thought I would I chuck my 2 pence in. This is a great website for getting back on eBay and amazon. If you keep it simple and follow stealth book you will be OK. Take a note and record everything as to avoid mistakes. Setup 10 accounts over the last few days, two hit the wall, just running some tests. One my own fault the other is a new thing that I will test again in the morning. Some people only learn from there own mistakes, so if they don't listen to the great advise given by some of the members its there loss.

Duplicate listing policy CAN be applied across accounts in similar listings - not always but chances can exist.

You mean ebay will punish accounts doing this?

If so, then yes.

Very risky especially if not used to stealth

As you had said in other postings GB, there is a bit of luck involved too but chances are good that if accounts are linked, everything goes down in a tailspin...

So if you are selling a product that has hundreds of variations, colors, designs, etc. If they are similar but lets say different color or something would that be a violation. I understand eBay doesn't want listings spammed on the site but if they are a different variation in one form or another does anyone know if it is a problem?

Selling apple does not help, apparently they are very active on eBay, I don't think its really fair though if the op is clearly stating the items are not apple.

I am not selling apple or anything electronics. More generic everyday items. I would compare it to selling different colored Tape in the same size on each account.

Really? I asked a similar question in the vero section and was told the complete opposite, that all linked accounts to the same address & name share all violations vero or otherwise.

The accounts are inherently linked sure but the vero strike sticks on one account - the other is not affected...but multiple strikes can lead to all kind of problems.

Am I right in thinking those problems are a account being suspended or banned then the other accounts going down. Also how do you know that the accounts don't share the strikes?

Well, I think the moral of the story is if you are using multiple eBay accounts per PayPal and you get any kind of Violation. You should be very careful in what you list for the next 90 days until the policy violation goes away.

It does appear Vero violations don't go across accounts but if something gets taken down once it is likely to get taken down again. If you are doing this with a legit account with the Tax Id verified and everything. I would say you are crazy to risk getting suspended and blowing it.

If it is a Stealth account, depending on how much you value your accounts. It can depend if you want to roll the dice and risk it.

From experimentation - pure and simple testing - and listening to what other people who sell tell you - comes from experience.

Obviously if you can't afford to lose accounts then you are better off not selling any vero or foo-foo items
Please enlighten me. What is "creative withdrawing"? I would really like to know.

Shopping online using your own paypal funds.

Using paypal as a bank for paying subscriptions etc.

The ideal way to use paypal is to have a variety of uses for your own funds.
In other words not just transfers out to a bank account.
