Scenario: Let's say you've been using a friends eBay account, mainly to purchase products, but also to sell a few items, and your address was a secondary address for purchases/delivery only. And this account has now been restricted from selling. Is it OK to use the same address on a new eBay account which has new IP, bank, cards, PC account, etc. Or will that address used for purchases, be linked to the old account which has been restricted from selling?
The address and user has been removed from the restricted eBay account and only the actual and original eBay account holder remains.
Thanks a lot

That old address is contaminated....ebay and paypal save all that kind of info, even if you just put it inter system 1 single time......

Thanks a lot | All the old info is retained by ebay.
Scenario does not work.
Avoid doing it.

Hey.....it's nothing that most of us haven't been though, which is why we're here.......but as many will also tell you, it was the best thing to happen to us, because I'm soon much better off now than I was before eBay lowered the boom on me........

This might be a UK thing but I dont know if its as big a deal as people are saying. So you are saying you were using your friends ebay account and had your address was only on as a secondary address. Was your name on the account anywhere. Have you been previously suspended from ebay? The address isnt the only thing ebay/paypal is looking at. If the address is the same but everything else is different and the names arent even the same I think you could totally get away with saying you just moved there if there were any problems. its not an ideal situation but I dont think its an automatic bad idea.

I wouldn't advise doing this if at all possible. It might be OK for a BUYER account, but definitely not for a SELLER account.
Any information you put into eBay/PayPal/Amazon is there FOREVER, even if you delete it. Deleting the information only means that YOU can no longer see it.
And just because an account does not go down IMMEDIATELY does not mean it is in the clear. When you start selling more, eBay does their own internal checks on accounts. So, if you ignore one of the rules of stealth, it might be OK for 90 days, 120 days or whatever, but then the account gets banned and the user comes back here dumbfounded, wondering where they went wrong. Then the lightbulb goes off...

Thanks a lot | It must be All Fresh and new.
Otherwise its just a question of time when you will be linked and suspended.
Deleting is nothing.
Eb saves all info for life.
All new or you are sitting on a time bomb.
Its up to you to make a choice.
Your clock is ticking.

I hear what everyone is saying and to be 100% safe I would agree that all new data needs to be used. BUT, I would think that if only a shipping address is the same, and not the actual address of the account you SHOULD be fine.
If they suspended accounts just on address you could never move to a house that had a suspended ebay account. An ebay seller could never ship to me because I am a suspended ebay seller etc etc.
What am I missing?

There are combination of factors that go in for an account to be suspended on creation - of course address is part of it...eb/PP can logically understand that ppl move
