I use 35 accounts at all times actually. not that it has anything to do with the posting of the first item on an account - something that I personally do with every single account I create and then sell. THAT is what I base my opinion on - my personal experience.
And now youre just being disrespectful and misleading. You know nothing about what I do and making such assumptions is foolish and rude.
I mean no offense to you friend. If you stop spreading misinformation I will stop responding to you. Theres really no need for you to take this personally. Again - I mean no offense. I am just voicing MY opinion based on the creation of thousands of accounts over the last decade. Lets let the readers of the forums make up their own minds as to who they think has the correct answer.

This was my method:
1/. Made paypal in Nov 2014 and verified with prepaid vanilla and this ALLY VBA.
2/.Made ebay a week later with xx name/ real address then linked the paypal which had same info.
3/.Browsed a few items on the first day only.
4/.Waited on dormant account for 2 months to age.
5/.Listed my first item 'used magazine' for 0.99 in mag-back catalog category
6/.BAM -restricted.

To me this is weird. I have not been getting New MC999s on any account that I made in December or January. I have made over 50 in January alone and I do not recall December. Is anyone still getting New MC999s on recently made accounts (January/February)? Just curious on the everyone's results

I don't get soft mc999's either anymore, its all about the approach.

I agree the VBAs did not cause the ever-so-common restriction, OP. listing the first item did...

I haven't had any 48 hour MC999s in a while either.

It could have been the price that caused it. 99 cents is a bit of a weird starting price for someone who is supposed to be brand new to eBay. It's something a veteran would do, yes, but not necessarily a brand new user. I know some people prefer to list their first item at 99 cents and are just fine but I always list my first item at around $3-10 even if it's not worth that much and I always take as noobish pictures as possible, just so I don't have to deal with calling.

It could have also been the fact that the account had no activity for months, then suddenly listed an item.

Neither of those things are necessarily problems especially since this MC999 is a cake walk to overcome, but those are the only things that stood out to me.
