Default Down and Filthy eBay Stealth Newbie

So need to try to fish for a sure-fire way to get ebay and paypal to buzz off? I've read the stealth guide front to back but my question are more along the lines of looking for accurate quantitive data that supports a theory.

A better question would be what is the most effective plan (weekly/monthly) to increase my listings without being flagged? Example: List 3 week 1, List 4 week 2, List 5 week 3 etc etc.

Just quick background on who I am and what I am trying to achieve: I am, rather I was an avid sneaker collector (1190 pairs) that has retired from the fetish and pursuing other hobbies. I want to safely off load my collection while maintaining my shadowy figure. I plan on purchasing a premium account from one of the sellers here but I want to utilize it to it's fullest ability. I want to say time is not an issue, but I really don't want to spend the next 5 years selling my collection while worrying about being flagged (again by ebay & pp). I figure with this much credibility of ebay ninjas in the forum some of the wise will have a selling pattern that works.

Although, I appreciate sarcasm I would appreciate more helpful comments than witty ones. Although if it is clever enough, I have to hit the TY icon for appreciation of a good comedian.

Any help goes a long way!!!

Cheers,
Marc

Here's the kicker, there's no exact precise answer when it comes to Ebay/PayPal. The best advice I can give you is to go slow, don't list high priced items right away.....you need to list low value items then move into most expensive items.

Even if you buy an account, you really should take it slow.

Thanks for the response. Slow dance you say, hmmm. So if all my items are bid versus BIN I should start with smaller items? I am trying to find something to build up to sneakers, any ideas?

Also if I move to a completely different niche wouldnt that flag me? I.E. air fresheners to sneakers...

It also depends a great deal on what it is youre selling.
In your case youll be selling off sneakers which from my experience can be a high risk item if theyre branded. Sell branded items too soon and youll get shut down in a hurry.

So is there a way to position myself to move my collection? I've had an account suspended from high risk activity because I moved from selling books to sneakers. Its there a good item to start out with and move to my collection or will I just have to accept I will be considered risky as soon as I list my first pair?

Ebay and Paypal are like the kids that get mad and take their ball when they dont want to play anymore. Only problem is they have one of the only balls in the world. I figure after the split between the two it would get better, its actually gotten worse.

I like listing stuff like books before listing my real items, and get a couple seller feedback before listing riskier items

I do have some books lying around that I can sell, I am just paranoid that once I move to sneakers, ebay is going to be like "now wait wait wait. You know you done f'ed up right?"

You can sell anything at EB if you know the right way. Used books are fine. New sneakers are bad idea as a first sale, used - ok.

In your position I would use more than one account.

You will need to build the accounts first, old items from around the house, books, stationary, toys etc all sell well. Run a few auctions.

So new and used makes a difference? hmmm I do have a good amount of used. I can start with my lower values shoes and work my way up. Ill keep a log and report back the activity. Since I will be eventually selling shoes is it a good idea to have my history reflecting interest in that niche (i.e. bid on a few pairs, watch a few pairs, message established store owners some basic questions etc.) or is that a waste of time?

Building a history is a good idea. Do that for 2 weeks on new accounts. Then slowly list an old pair of trainers. Preferably unbranded or a low risk make. Don't start with nike air max!

Unfortunately I don't own any unbranded kicks... I I believe I catch your drift. Is there any where you all recommend starting a thread for a log? That way I can provide updates and provide a success story...
