Been awhile since I sold on eBay and got various violations for the past year. I know they differ for each one and how many an account can take also vary. I have read some threads from the past and I was wondering how violations have changed?
1. Do violations stay for 90 days then "clear off" as they did in the past? I am reading that they now or always lasted a year but will always be in the system.
2. I know certain violations are more severe than others. Vero being the worst. When I spoke to someone in Vero last month, they told me trademark is much worse than copyright but never elaborated how much worse it could be.
3. How bad are standard violations compared to vero ones? I assume you can take more standard ones than vero.
4. Are violations a much bigger deal now? I read threads back from 2008-2010 about how powersellers got quite a few over a short time period and merely got a slap on the wrist? I even saw a screenshot of a person who had a chart that gave a breakdown on how many violations a powerseller could get before punishment.

1.Usually violation stay on your record forever!
2. Vero is the worst of all violations usually you can only go 1 or 2 violations of this before your account is cooked!
3.Yes you can take more standard violations then you can Vero violations!
4. Violations are always a big deal! Especially when you're dealing with a stealth account! You always want to stay underneath the radar! And there is no Specific number on account violations before your Account is cooked!
If account is young, any violation can kill it. If it is a bit mature, a couple of violations will kill it. Old accounts can have like 3 violations in 2-3 months, but still can die faster. The main idea of stealth is not getting any avoidable violations, and staying under the radar.
