| ihatebay | 04-14-2007 11:09 AM | thanks! I feel better now.
the past few weeks I feel like i've been holding my breath. |
| ihatebay | 04-14-2007 11:15 AM | By the way, CPUGEEK, say right now I have 3 ebay accounts. Can I use Auctiva for all three? I mean does Auctiva list the auctions through their server? Would I be linked in any way? Thanks |

No, it isnt none of their business | The fact remains.. as of this week eBay now requires new sellers to provide Paypal. You can still offer a merchant account but we all know at least 90% will chose the paypal option if offered. |
| ihatebay | 04-14-2007 12:54 PM | Hi, where do you get all these new regulations?
If I use Auctiva in China/overseas will Ebay take down my listings? |
| maris23 | 04-14-2007 01:26 PM | its been discussed in detail on several topics on this forum.. several posters here confirmed. Check yesterdays posts for the bad news. |

Their new policy is that you offer Paypal OR a merchant account. If you can provide proof that only paypal works please post it here as I have yet to see this statement actually verified anywhere. Its paypal OR merchant acct. |

I don't think they will link your 2 ebay accounts, at least not before. I plan to do that soon, but wanted to call Auctiva if they give out these merchant ID info to Ebay. I haven't found their number yet. |
| whome | 04-14-2007 10:02 PM | Approval procedures for merchant account? What are the things you need to get a merchant account? |
| sparksmoney31 | 04-16-2007 10:16 PM | Auctiva???? Is auctiva in any way shape or form affiliated with ebay, and does ebay use them to track suspended users? I am about to start up a new account with the infamous formula, and need to know what the deal is with auctiva? Thanks again. |
| JackNoMore | 04-17-2007 11:56 AM | sparks, check out the long thread on "anything else we're missing" which discusses this and a whole lot more. There are different opinions on how friendly auctiva is with ebay. Auctiva isn't affiliated by corporate measures, but that doesn't mean they won't share information if asked. |

Also what information do they share with eBay if you use them for their checkout? | Let's put it this way. I use auctiva checkout and if they do share information I would had been busted a long time ago. And I also emailed auctiva and they said they don't share any info.. |

I opened new account 2 day ago and i didn't have to except PayPal. Also opened account today no paypal. I don't know why people are saying that you have to. People send checks in the mail with no problem. If buyer wants to pay by paypal i give them horrible links about paypal after that they happily sent checks in mail . If you will except paypal you will have so many problems. |
| maris23 | 04-20-2007 08:21 PM | Anyone know if Bidpay can still be used as a substitute for Paypal, with new sellers? |
| whome | 04-20-2007 08:22 PM | |
| leonid5000 | 04-21-2007 05:31 AM | i like Bidpay. no problem getting my money even if costumers complanes. I developed some tricks around bidpay |

And very poor problem solving skills to boot. |

| JackNoMore | 08-24-2007 11:32 AM | Couldn't you just copy the code into Auctiva? |
| kevinxu | 10-21-2007 06:01 AM | the pics in my auctiva account would cause being linked? my old ebay account was suspended. My new account would be linked to the old one if i use the same auctiva account where i put all my items pics? I was wondering it because the web address of those pics wont change.
anyone knows?have anyone done it before but without being suspended?thank you! |
| vers0 | 10-22-2007 03:32 AM | Kevinxu, If I understand you correctly, you would like to know how to use Auctiva on new accounts without being suspended? What I do is to create a new Auctiva account for each name I created on eBay. For every item I sell, I always take 5 pictures then name them in a way that I will not use them on another ebay account. The angle is the same however I will use different backgrounds for each. Once they are uploaded on Auctiva, you should never get them confused. Its more work but I really don't care if I'm successful without getting suspended. I think once you figure out a routine with all your accounts, it become easier to manage them all.
Just to add, Modee has mentioned the use of Firefox. That's what I use and will log into them and back out of 5 accounts within 10 minutes without any worries. I don't think Auctiva cares about IP addresses however I am now trained to close out of my browser when switching to different eBay names.
If I did not answer your question then i misunderstood your question. |
| kevinxu | 10-22-2007 06:56 AM | hi vers0,thank you very much for your answer.I have a lots of pics for my items so its really a lots of work to upload pics again and again to the new acutiva account and that's why i asked whether there is anyone who had tried not to change the pics address but without being suspended.
vers0,do you sell on 5 ebay account in the same time? if then, could you please tell me how do you do that?"That's what I use and will log into them and back out of 5 accounts within 10 minutes without any worries"
or give me the link of the post, thank you very much. |
| vers0 | 10-22-2007 09:53 PM | Kevinxu, There is a lot to successfully use multiple accounts successfully. What I mean is, I log into my Auctiva accounts using the same IP address. That is why I can do 5 accounts in 10 minutes. I do not believe that Auctiva is sharing IP's with eBay. I like Auctiva for several reasons but mostly for creating my auctions without logging into eBay. I use Cable Internet for my main account and dial up for the others. I just read all that is posts in this forum and try things until I find out what works and what does not. To be honest, my accounts will not last as long as others because of the type of items I place on eBay. So far I do use 5 accounts for selling and slowly building up others. If there is a question you would like answered, post it in the forum and someone should have an answer for you. To sum it up, having multiple accounts is a lot more work than having only account. |
| vers0 | 10-22-2007 10:02 PM | To add to the above posing: The most time consuming part is uploading pictures and creating the Ads. If I sell the same item on 3 accounts, I will create 3 different auctions ads to make it look like there are 3 different people. I personally do not overlap the same item when selling. I guess it would depend on the popularity of the item.....I personally keep the selling activity low on each account to not draw to much attention. I have been known to be greedy when selling... |

| ebaykilla | 10-24-2007 09:20 AM | no need to buy feedback just start selling slowly for 30 days..use it as any other new member would use eBay... |
| kevinxu | 10-24-2007 09:28 AM | I cannot follow instructions and keep quoting the post directly above my response. |
| Chris Hanson | 10-24-2007 10:32 AM | Depends on the type of products you sell. Use your own judgement |
| vers0 | 10-24-2007 08:51 PM | I did start buying useless ebooks but after trying different things, like eBaykilla say, I started selling slowly and this works for me. I do buy things that I normally use to also build up my rating. I will always ask the seller if he can ship the item out to a different address before committing to the item. Most will ship wherever you want them to. I just say its for a gift. Some sellers will only ship to verified addresses. |
| ebaykilla | 10-25-2007 10:26 AM | Good job! You are on the road to success! |
| guangxipku | 11-16-2007 10:13 AM | Question about Auctiva checkout I did some search on this forum, but I'm still not sure.
I have several auctiva accounts with their ebay accounts.
Question 1:
I prefer paypal. When I list via auctiva, if I choose the payment method as PAYPAL, does ebay know the paypal email address or just auctiva stores the email address? If ebay knows the PP EMAIL ADDRESS, I think the account will be suspended.
The way I'm doing now is I send the invoice to the customer via paypal after bidding is over. it is hard work and I have to log in to paypal every time bidding is over.
Question 2:
If I register on Authorize.Net, Can I use one Authorize.Net account in all my auctiva accounts? If I can then is it safe?
Thanks for your time. |
| aspkin | 11-16-2007 10:35 AM | I very much recommend you sign up for Merchant Plus, and use this (which Authorize.Net is included) with Auctivia. Get as far away from Paypal as you can. And don't worry about people not liking Merchant Plus; their gateway is more flexible and easier to use then Paypal. Lots of users are already using 3rd party merchant accounts like Merchant Plus. If you use Paypal, you will be linked.
Or just wait until my Paypal linking guide is out. Should be a 2-3 days. |
| guangxipku | 11-16-2007 06:47 PM | Thanks a lot, ASPKIN BOSS, lol |
| lynnchacha | 11-16-2007 08:54 PM | I love auctiva checkout! all buyer can pay me without any problem.
it will direct them to paypal. |
| guangxipku | 11-16-2007 09:42 PM | lynnchacha :
You have multiple auctiva accounts? then all your accounts send to the same paypal account? will this link your pp account to ebay? please let me know. thanks.
I'm in China so I can't use Merchant Plus |
| Jonas | 11-16-2007 10:12 PM | ebay and paypal are sharing data now. |
| guangxipku | 11-17-2007 09:10 PM | I'm confused, is it safe to use paypal via auctiva checkout? will this kill my ebay accounts? more words? thanks.
waiting for aspkin's guide on paypal |
| aspkin | 11-17-2007 10:47 PM | It's best not to use Paypal at all. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:45 PM. | |
