How to change IP address if you have a ROUTER and a CABLE MODEM

Does using different profiles in firefox work instead of user accounts? Do different profiles on same user account require different IPs?

I was using different user IDs but never changed my ip address between each user ID and I've never been linked that way.
I would rather use profiles in firefox on same user ID since it's much faster, but I'm worried that ebay can link using a combination of ip address and something else if I do it that way. I can't find much info on if ebay can link using ff profiles within same user ID.

I'm thinking that ip address doesn't matter that much by itself, but maybe ebay uses ip in combination with something else when using ff profiles in same user ID.

if ebay detects your activity , and link your accounts , that doesnt mean they will act immediatelly ,
they will wait till they need to
