3G Internet Access

Hi there

I am in UK and just checked the IP address of my Vodafone 3G internet on my phone, and discovered the IP address is in the United States

Does anyone else find that their phone IP is in a different country to their own?

Could be handy for administering accounts when you are in another country, just tether your phone to laptop.

I've been using our Iphone as my only means of getting on eBay and so far it's worked very well. Our IP's always traces to different parts of the U.S, and eBay doesn't seem to have a problem with it.

Yep tethering for multiple accounts and wiping cookies etc seems to be the best way.

Just odd that I should get a US IP when i'm in the UK. If I could get a UK IP from overseas on my phone then I would be an extremely happy man. I'm going to Europe on Tuesday for a while and I have to access my accounts from a VPS which is a pain, web browsing with a VPS always seems to be painfully slow.

I've been using an O2 dongle and it's registered in Ireland.
