Default Gmail and ebay tracking ?

hi guys, id like to know if i setup a gmail account and use thunderbird as my mail client to read gmail emails does it still use the beacons or is it limited to outlook/outlook express ?

also if thunderbird also sends the beacon to ebay, is the only real method to not send the beacon to ebay is reading emails thru the online gmail website ?

thanks.

I don't know about that software. Just keep it from loading external images and javascript and the like.

Gmail will block images and links automatically, I check all my emails from my accounts on the same computer...I do clear my cookies before but I think the beacon thing is inconclusive?

yes its quite possible that gmail online version blocks images and links however locally in a mail client im not sure sure, its quite possible that thunderbird is more secure than other mail clients such as outlook express/outlook but i cant be certain, if anyone can confirm this please let me know. cheers
