Default PdaNet IP issues

I have been using Pdanet and getting a decent amount of different IP's. Over the last couple days I am getting tons of repeats over and over again. I have spent almost an hour now trying to not get a repeat number with no luck.

Anyone have any tricks to get a new IP. I was getting IPs hundreds of miles away and sometimes in the next state but not anymore.

Any help would be greatly appreciate for this non techy person.

PDanet has nothing to Do with IP' That is T-Mobile's thing, Now I do Not Know where you are Located but the Larger the City normally the Larger the IP."Range" is and Vice-Versa.

What you can Try is a "Hard Reset" of your Phone, Im Not Sure how to do it on the MyTouch but Im sure it is easy to look up,,,Maybe before that you do that you may want to try to remove the Battery for a Few Minutes, and Then Re-Inserting and of course reBooting the Phone, That Might Help??

Sorry I wish that I could be more Helpful,,,

MyTouch or MyTouch 4G?

If it is 4G model, that's why your IP range is narrow. An issue I don't quite totally understand with T-Mobile yet, but I use their 4G dongle and MiFi box and have the same issue. I won't go into too much detail because I don't know which one you have yet. Dropping back down to their EDGE or 3G frequencies might help.

Thanks Slapped I will try that.

I am very close to a large town and should be able to get all kinds of new ones.

Last night I got one in Arizona which is 2000 miles from me.

Unknown - It is 3G.

I am using 3g now but I use Cricket communications, or Leap. I do plan to use Simple Mobile cuz they have 4g and faster speeds but I hope I dont have more narrower IP address.

On my phone I only have a range of about 200 IP address. I dont know if that is a lot. The IP address only comes from one city, about 350 miles from where I live.

For a few days I had the same problem. I then did a "hard restart", took out the battery, unplugged everything. After that I stopped getting repeats until the next week, then I restarted again.

To get a new IP just simply put phone in airplane mode for approx 5 minutes when you reconnect to Pda net it should give you a new IP.I use this method with my iPhone/tmobile and it works just fine.Just make sure to record each IP

It took me 15 tries yesterday to get a new IP that I have not used.

Talk about being bored stiff waiting for a new IP.

Always does, but---

Sometimes it takes 10-15 tries to get an IP that has not been used on certain accounts.

I get a lot of repeat IPs, which is not good when you are trying to access accounts that you cannot use on the account you are trying to access.
