Default I need help connecting to eBay.

Hi,

I have an issue, how can I connect to eBay?.

First my USB sockets must be faulty as I've tried to connect my printer to my laptop and it has not worked on all 4 sockets, so mobile broadband is I'm guessing out of the question, I don't want to spend 20 quid on it and find out it's no good for my old windows xp laptop.

I can't use dial up as I have a fault with my phone line which has been going on for 2 days now, my father seems to think somebody called and has since never hung up their phone! so we can't make calls or have anyone calling us.

I could connect at the library but that is a bit annoying considering all I want to do right now is buy stuff.

Any ideas?

I don't have that, well I've asked BT to connect me on our 2ND phone line, so that will sort out the phone issue, now I'm just stuck on who to sign up for on Broadband.

Just one question, if I was with one broadband company in the past, could I sign back up-to them as far as IP addresses are in question?

I would not buy or sell anything on the library's wifi. Most if not all library's have an open wifi connection. Some people like to camp at librarys with a wifi sniffer so they know what your looking at or typing. They can get your EB log in and password info, even credit cards #s. They can use your credit card to wipe out your funds or sell it to other people online.
Please don't become another victim.

Wi-fi sniffer captures your wireless network traffic with ease.

Wi-fi sniffer is an 802.11 wireless network sniffer - this is different from a normal network sniffer (such as Ethereal or tcpdump) because it separates and identifies different wireless networks in the area. Wi-fi sniffer works with any 802.11b wireless card which is capable of reporting raw packets (rfmon support), which include any prism2 based card (Linksys, D-Link, Rangelan, etc), Cisco Aironet cards, and Orinoco based cards. Wi-fi sniffer also supports the WSP100 802.11b remote sensor by Network Chemistry and is able to monitor 802.11a networks with cards which use the ar5k chipset.

Yotano211, You don't have to worry WIFI access in UK libraries is very new, they have Wifi at a library a few miles from me but in my local one they just use routers like most people have in their homes.

It doesn't have to be new or old, the thing I am talking about is that library's don't have secured wifi. I would think they operate on a open connection, it means anyone can use it.
