thelizardking | 03-30-2008 09:41 PM | 192.168.1.*** is to log into the router's admin console if you want to manually change it...a real IP can be 4 sets of any #'s...also make sure you are closing your browser and restarting it when re-checking... |

i m trying to change my ip address at the moment | Your router number is usually 192.168.0.1 or something liek that. If you go to command prompt and type in ipconfig , thats what it would show you...
Now if you want to find your REAL ip address, go to IP Burger - What is my IP Address? Find Your IP Address! and it'll show you what eBay is using to track you. |

Your router is probably hanging onto your IP address. Try eBayhateluv suggestion for changing your IP address. It's one of the reasons I bought a second modem from my ISP, I would get a new Ip every time I switched modems out. Cost more money, but a lot easier to switch IPs with a Router. |

Aye, well for me it was a pain the year ago I did this. So instead for a faster way of changing my IP I would use the second modem to get a new ip within seconds rather hours.
Anyway, good post though. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:30 AM. | |
