IP in different country without VPN

Hi everyone.. So I learned the hard way that most VPN's are a bad idea when most of my accounts got suspended for no other reason I can think of...

I was just wondering what other alternatives is there to operating accounts in different countries without using a VPN?

Any help is appreciated, thanks

As long as you have supporting ID documents there will be no problem using a VPN or just your regular connection.

If you can provide the documents they ask for then there will never be a problem with keeping an account live. Certainly that is the case in my limited experience.

Thanks... I guess I will find a different VPN to hidemya**, because I've seen reports that ebay knows you're using the public vpn's....

you get what you pay for, a unique vpn is $15-$30 pm depending on country

Dial-up could work.

VPNs are not the only method of accessing from a different country

dial-up, how does that give you another country IP?

If you are in the States (say) and you call a UK dial up connection number (Freeola?) you get a UK IP

You use a dialup service from another country. Of course, your phone will be billed for long distance, and your internet would be even more painfully slow than ever.

The trick with dial up is to use it only when you need to. Use Thunderbird and Auctiva and you should rarely have to use it. Treat it as a cost of doing business and build it into your business plan

It's OK giving people advise about VPNs but I suspect the majority go for the cheapest and then come here saying "Why did my account get closed?"

I think a unique static vpn is a good way, as oopa said... Well thats what I have used this past week and had no problems as of yet. Quite costly, but it will be worth it if it keeps this account going.. Finger crossed
