Default Recommendations on best way to change IP for my situation?

I plan to have at least 6-12 stealth accounts running at once.
I'm also having to switch houses every 2 weeks to help out with family.

I use a laptop and I connect wirelessly - so I'm not usually near my modem so I think it would be quite a hassle to reset moden, unplug for 15 seconds & wait, and unplug again, then check the IP to see if it's changed. <--All that in between checking up on each account.

Any suggestions?

Would this mean I need one for each account? Any idea how much would one cost?

Ok thanks for the suggestion. I looked into it and I'm just worried I could possibly go over the monthly limit + it also said I could only use 3 e-mail address or something (at least in Canada).. I'd be going back & forth between around 10 accounts or so.

Of course I wouldn't be downloading much or watching many YouTube videos, but I'd definitely be uploading tons of photos for listings..

And do you know if there's a way to check all my e-mails at once for the accounts (any application?) that won't link them all when I open eBay messages? I wouldn't click the links of course

just forward all your emails to one email...
ebay / paypal does not use much data, you will be more than fine with most plans

Wait..Won't it be a red-flag if my IP address is different every time I log into my eBay account? (With a dongle)

Really?

Ohhhhh sorry I think I got the whole constantly changing IP addresses, mixed up with constantly clearing out your cookies..<--That one's a red flag isn't it..

So IP address constantly changing on my Stealth account is for sure not a problem. Got it!

Thanks lol

Changing IP = no problem

Changing IP + no cookies or different country = ebay asking if that's really you

^^^^ if that doesn't happen right away and you try to list or withdraw = limited + doc request

so never clear cookies? I guess that's why you should have a separate admin account on your computer. that's what I've been doing - logging into that second account, changing IP, going on ebay, logging out, logging out of second act, and logging back into my main acct and changing IP again. total pain in the ass though, but it's worth it

Ok thanks, so I'll never clear cookies. (I'll have a separate user account on my computer for each, anyway)

And I don't quite know what you mean about "different country" but at least for me, I'm not trying to pretend I'm in another country when I'm really not...so that part shouldn't affect me

What way do you change your IP address? I'm thinking of just getting a USB internet stick/dongle and all you do is plug it in & out and your IP apparently changes. Especially since I plan on having around 10 accounts selling at once - I couldn't imagine walking between rooms in my house, unplugging the modem, resetting it, unplugging again, etc...

Don't go on vacation outside and try to use your accounts with or without cookies, unless you're utilizing VPS with a CA IP.

The data usage counts against your phone, doesn't it? Between running 10 different accounts I'm afraid I would go over all the time and run up my bill. I think I'd rather keep my phone and USB internet stick separate

With or without cookies? Lol so do I clear them or not? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's ok to clear out your cookies once every once in a while....But it's when you constantly do it every day that raises a red flag...right?

Yes it counts against your total phone data usage but it depends on what data package you have. My phone comes with unlimited data usage. But anything over 2.5gb of usage it gets throttled down. But its rdifferent for each country and cellphone company.

I'm just saying its another option you can use
.

Hmm. How easy is it to do? I currently don't even have a cell phone but if I were to consider doing tethering, I'd have to get one. I'd only get an iPhone

It's the constant IP changes in combination with other things that flag the account.

Keep the cookies, but if you're out the country a foreign IP will likely lead to problems for the account regardless of cookies. Another member on here is currently using CA ebay's with US IPs and bank accounts, but it's generally not a good idea.
