I don't know whether I should get a VPS (which is different than a VPN) or get a USB dongle/internet stick. I'm new to Stealth and would appreciate any tips or advice. I'd have several Stealth accounts so I'd need to be able to switch IP addresses easily. Also, I'm located in Canada and all my Stealth accounts would be located here too.

The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
if you are within the country you want to trade in usb is easier/better.
I would use vps if I wanted to access a different country site eg. canada to usa.
Yeah I'm leaning towards the USB internet dongle. However, I'm afraid that if I went anywhere outside my country for a trip or something, I'd be unable to respond to people from eBay (not from active listings. But in case someone wants to return an item - which I have to deal with every now & then. Wouldn't want a dispute with PayPal opened without getting a chance to respond)

That's a different issue.
You are getting bogged down with the term 'stealth'.
What you have are ebay & paypal accounts. Time may come you need to go on vacation, go away for business. You adjust your operations accordingly.
You simply, then, speak to ebay/paypal and advise them of your activities.
You remove active listings: you do what you would do with a non-stealth account. You contact paypal & advise them.
Do not make yourself trapped because of 'stealth'. In fact it allows you to be more on the ball with dealing with ebay/paypal. You know their weak points.

VPS is not a complete safe, you need to make sure the IP comes with it is not banned with Ebay, which you can not, most of VPS suppliers are saying they supply fresh new IPs but they are not, for the dongle, yes you can change your IP, but you need to change the sim card with each account too. so I always go with dial up connection

I've never read ANYwhere that you had to change SIM cards for each account (for the dongle)
Dial-up is something I don't want to deal with. I'm fine with paying $35/month for a dongle as the speeds will be fine, and to get a new IP you're supposed to be able to unplug & plug in, or reset it, and it gets a new IP..

I agree, I shouldn't be trapped. I'd just be worried that a dispute could be filed in case I wasn't able to respond to a buyer who wanted a return. Of course I wouldn't have any active listings + all my items would be shipped out. But I'm not sure how telling eBay or PayPal that I'm on vacation would do anything? Would they really care? :S
you can respond to buyer, via regular email without logging in. OK you cannot safely log in from abroad for a dispute etc agreed (although I have and no consequences, not recommeneded though)

You mean you can just reply to the eBay email that shows the buyer's message, and your reply will be sent back to the buyer through eBay? Or do you mean I can reply/communicate to the buyer just through regular emails? Explain a bit maybe? :P
yeah regular email via your own reply button, not ebays yellow button.
Great tip, thanks. So if I hit my reply button, it looks like it sends the message to "abcdefg1234@members.ebay.com" - So my message will end up in their eBay inbox + they'd get notified from eBay via their regular e-mail that they have a new message? :S
I've read other threads on this and could never make out a clear answer. They were mostly threads from 3 years ago so there's a chance things could have changed.
