Public internet access?

I stopped by a starbucks a last week and noticed a couple looking at their computer and on ebay.
Just yesterday I saw the couple again at another starbucks, while having coffee a conversation started about ebay. Go to find out that they had a store on ebay selling women's accessories and had been booted off ebay 2 weeks before Christmas.

Apparently they opened up two accounts after the New Year and are running them from Starbucks. One user at each Starbucks.

Does anyone have any feedback on this whether good, bad, or indifferent?

Is this a good idea to have different IP addresses?

Hm if you drink s coffee everyday then yes.

You dont have to do it to obtain your ip address. You can use your mobile phone to tether. Or buy multiple routers and change them all the time ( you need to also make sure your internet provider has Static IP address )

Its very easy to obtain ip address. I would be much worried about you bank accounts, or products you sell.

Potentially bad to use public internet.

The IP may be marked already by ebay/paypal.

Certain steps would be needed to be successful. Advantage of being USA based is all the other options to access ebay/paypal.

Yes, I have and do use public Wi-Fi for a couple of stealth accounts. One account I use Auctiva to list so I just use the Wifi to print PDF files for the shipping labels and answer any questions. The other I use public WiFi and I also use Computers at the local Community College. I know many people won't agree but I think as long as you slowly build up a reputation with eBay and you understand eBay Stealth account how they track you and keep tabs on you. Using a Public Wi-Fi isn't always ideal but it can be done. From my 6-7 years experience of running stealth accounts if you don't sell a bunch of blatant Vero or other High Risk items and you take your time building good feedback and trust with eBay and Paypal. You shouldn't encounter many problems. eBay and Paypal is a business they want to get paid. They want people selling on their site. You just have to learn Stealth and how not to get Flagged for their sometimes over aggressive reaction to what they deem fraud and high risk activity.
