Is it safe to get emails on your phone?

I dont know what the safest thing to do but currently I setup my phone with all my email accounts and I get ebay/paypal emails with no issues. I use hotmail.
I think I get alway with this because my phone is so old it can not display html in emails.

Its time for a new phone and this is what I currently use to find out if I have any sales on my accounts. Could I also setup a new smart phone to do this or would that send my ip? How do you guys get emails on your phone?

As long as you make sure that images is turned off you should be fine.

For me the risk is just too much.

I have one email on my phone and it has nothing to do with ebay.

I dont even use my phone to access my real account.

i carry 4 phones with 4 different providers. Cannot and will NOT take any risk for a matter of 30 dollars a month. i can claim on Tax. I do look like a drug dealer when i go to shops with them phones. But hey how else i meant to check my ebay?
