Yes, Because everytime I turn off my modem, and turn on again, it gives me different ip.

And Now the biggest issue that i have is :
1. If I want to create multiple Account for rotation selling, Is it better that I keep the same ip with each account or is it okay if I keep log in from different ip, by keep unplug/plug my modem (like dial up process), can they be linked by that way?

2. I want to purchase Belkin DSL Modem with Linksys Router, Can it also works? Or can I use Belkin Modem with Router Built in Or Linksys Modem with Router Built in For Mac Address cloning?

3. Last time when My friends Account get suspended, My account get suspended as well for reason "Related", he always log in via his laptop, and me via my desktop, we never log in from any other ip. How can it links together? If ebay really can links us just because we are under same Isp, I am sure by keep changing Ip is useless.

Please leave me reply.

I really hopeless now, have been goggling since last 2 days, never get a clear answer.

THANKS^^ GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU..HAPPY EASTER

I cant really be sure since I am not Australia, but I think you should get a Linksys wireless router. You must change the MAC ID is to a spefic Numeric Code so the IP can stay the same.

Example
Ebay ID goods345 use MAC ID 01f:32:as:01

Ebay ID goods543 use MAC ID 01f:32:as:02

Just changing the last digit changes the IP address. Switch it back and you'll have the same ip

Yes if you change the router mac you will get a new ip. There isn't a specific ip set to each router mac so that's why you won't get the same one, plus it only allows you to get available ips.

each mac address directly connected to the modem the isp sees at it as a new device on their system. each device gets a new and unique ip address. so you can have hundreds of ip's at your disposal by changing the mac address using any combination of numbers 0 thru 9 and letters a thru f on those last two pairs of numbers on the mac address.

So is what is the more important benefit here?

To get multiple ips or the fact that you can get the same ip again? Or BOTH?

Further, is it better (in ebay's eyes) to sign on looking like you have a Static IP (retaining your ip thru mac addy changes) or a dynamic ip (like most cabe/dsl users)?

Thanks again...

Both features are a big benefit. Being able to change your ip for each account is necessary. Also, being able to return back the your accounts original IP would not raise any flags.

you have to have a router that supports cloneing mac address or other words mac spoofing. Alot of old routers dont have this opiton as well as some cheap branded routers. I would say get u a linksys router it works great for this and very simple to do.

usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2 and admin / password

This is the usual.

But be aware you do not always get the same ip. Ip's do recycle or renew. Ip's are leased in an ip range which means i you are not really good at writting down and really keep track of used Ip you can get linked down the line.

I change just the last 2 numbers usually. But after 99 accounts you have to get a little bit more creative.
