Do eBay cookies watch you surf?
If you are logged into eBay, and then surf other sites without logging out, do eBay's cookies record or report what you're doing?
For example, if I'm logged into eBay and browsing here at the same time, does eBay know it?
With so many cookies installed every time I enter eBay, it's easy to believe they are capable of recording just about anything.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

Nah, cookies can't do that.
Now if you go to eBay from aspkin.com, eBay will know that..
So just when you're heading to eBay, open up a new tab and type in ebay.com

Well that's good. But it still seems an invasion of privacy for eBay to know the last site you visited. Or is that true for any site on the Internet?

Any site on the internet knows this information. It's how marketers know where traffic is coming from, if their marketing techniques are working, etc.

eBay puts its advertisements all over many other websites and each one puts a cookie on your system, reads your cookies, etc. Then there is how "prefetch" in mozilla browsers is default to on so you will get eBay cookies even more often.
